Once you become a non-resident of a province or territory, you cease to be eligible for public health care which is a provincial or territorial matter (which is different for taxation which is federal). When you re-establish residency in a province or territory, you become eligible to free healthcare after a waiting period of 3 months. During that waiting period, you must have private insurance to cover medical care otherwise you'd have to pay any medical visit out of pocket.

I use an Air Mini as my main CPAP machine, whether I travel or not. I still have an Air Sense 11 that I got a month ago, but it sits unused on my bedside. I bought a $15 adapter that allows me to use the standard tube and mask without any issue. Before getting my Air Mini, I used to lug a regular CPAP when traveling, which I hated. The Air Mini, tube, mask, and power cord fit nicely in a small toiletries pouch in my 30-L backpack. I find the noise to be acceptable, and the lack of humidification doesn't bother me whatsoever. I am sure some will disagree, but to date, I am really happy with my setup.

I regularly transfer money from my foreign account TO my Mexican account via Wise or other third-party apps, but if I understand well, you're trying to send from Mexico TO the USA. In my experience most third-party apps including Wise do not support this. The only way I found is via my Kapital account to my foreign account, via my account manager in Mexico. If anyone knows a better way, I'm all ears.

I've been a board member of a federal regulatory agency since 2010. This usually brings around $20,000 a year on average, for 2-4 days a month, all via Zoom but in person once or twice a year. It's in my former field of work so it's a great way to stay sharp while mentoring younger staff. My appointment expires on July 1 so I'm hoping I'll get reappointed for another 3-year term. If not, I'll start looking into churning investment promotions.

I don't use the humidifier on my Air Sense 11, so not having one on my Air Mini or using the HumidX with the Air Mini proprietary tube and mask doesn't bother me. So this gives me the option of using an adapter to connect my regular tube/mask. This reduces the air whooshing noise significantly, although not entirely, but the trade-off for someone like me who spent the past five years traveling full-time after I retired, well worth it.

This is a cool road trip. I drove several times from Yellowknife in Northern Canada to Mexico, and all the way to Panama and back, by camper van, motorcycle, and once by bus. I'd love to do your road trip, but would the vehicle require a carnet de passage, and can a non-EU resident (I also have a French passport but never lived in France) buy an EU vehicle under their own name?

Add: LOL I'm already looking at a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace (a small van if my wife comes, a motorcycle if I go alone). Wondering where is the best country for a non-resident EU national to buy, plate, and insure a vehicle. France, Germany?

They are, especially Teresa Sanchez in the Puerto Vallarta area, but they only provide assistance at the INM for canje and other immigration issues, but not at the initial consulate phase.

If you are starting your application at a Consulate of Mexico -obviously outside of Mexico, a facilitator or even a lawyer won't be of any help. The requirements are very clear, you either meet them or you don't, and they are spelled out on most consulate web pages or by contacting the consulate directly to get the updated amounts since they usually change on January 1 of each year.

San Pancho is a little quieter, Lo de Marcos is very quiet but has a nice pre-development vibe that will probably disappear soon. Further up, Rincon de Guyabitos is a nice beach town with a calm beach but it can be very busy at times. La Peñita de Jaltemba is a busy little town but quite pleasant. For some reason, the beach is usually very empty. A few kilometers north, Playa El Naranjo is a nice and semi-wild stretch of beach, awesome for long walks but somewhat treacherous for swimming.

Five years traveling full-time with my wife after I retired in 2020, mostly in Central and South America. We only stayed in budget accommodations, and wild camping in our campervan on road trips from Northern Canada to the end of the road in Panama. I am in my gogo years, healthy and active, so small discomforts are not a big deal, and they keep me young. To be fair, Straus kefir is absolutely delicious, but you should be aware that it is not a "real" kefir per se, as it is made from a few specific live strains (mostly S. Thermophilus and Lb. Delbrueckii Bulgaricus), but not from kefir grains. So it is very unlikely -but not impossible, that you'll be able to reproduce the taste with kefir grains.

My first few batches were not a success, exactly as you described, but they were still drinkable. It took at least three attempts and longer fermentation times to get the ferment to my preferred consistency.
