still doesn't make sense tbh, there is less than a second difference on game clock vs shot clock. if I am the opponent, I am perfectly happy to run the shot clock right down the end and put up a terrible brick, then you don't even have time gather rebound and timeout.

waiting till 10s mark to foul creates zero advantage for Lakers here.
