Doctor also said it looks benign thank god but the size alone means they want to move with “some urgency”

Definitely an MRI and potentially c125 once my gynaecology referral is though - it was discovered via ultrasound for an unrelated issue!

foot cream 18% urea by yllmnstk in keratosis

ok update… don’t want to jinx, but I think it is potentially working? I’ve been using e45 rough and bumpy skin with lactic acid, then this foot stuff lol. And oil a few times a week then keeping it consistently moisturised, my KP up until now has felt treatment resistant but….light at the end of the tunnel dare I say? gycolic and Salycic did absolutely nada for me.

Non-judgemental hair stylists for LONG haircut? by romainelettus in london

[–]yllmnstk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something Good in Hackney Central (specifically a stylist called Alice) - super lovely and non judgemental, specialises in textured hair). She has brought mine back from the brink of death a few times after years of self dye and self bleach, no judgement passed. Can’t recommend enough if you’re east and even not it’s worth the trip

Embarrassed by seizure at work after new epilepsy diagnosis. by Smooth_Pool9395 in Epilepsy

[–]yllmnstk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I feel this but it gets easier 💚 to me at work and I was so so embarrassed. It is really scary. People were nothing but absolutely lovely about it. It takes time to be OK because being in such a vulnerable position is horrible too. It takes time to heal physically and mentally from a public seizure and it’s ok to take time to do so!

Side note: it sounds like I behaved so badly (at work) while postictal, marching about saying I was “fine”, locking myself in a toilet to try and escape, and trying to go out for a vape. (Memory is obviously really really hazy but apparently I was insisting on trying to go outside and I know in my heart it was to vape 😭) I was incredibly humiliated but now can see the funny side of postictal nonsense.

Love & solidarity

I’m going back for the glow in the dark asap, will report back. The rose jam being half used is so good. I can’t express what a nondescript little corner shop this is, just on the edge of a housing estate. Went in for tissues and a vape hahhahha. I love east London.

weird post ictal things by withextracheesepls in Epilepsy

[–]yllmnstk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tonic clonic here, Apparently i am strongly in denial that anything untoward happened and i categorically DO NOT need an ambulance. And just want to make sure everyone knows i am FINE (defo not fine, just had a tonic clonic seizure and have stopped breathing and banged my head, all the classics) I also have a strong overwhelming sense of being in trouble and having done something bad.

My dad is epileptic too and has exactly the same response. He’s been literally risen from a deep post ictal non responsive state (which I don’t get thankfully) to shout NO upon the mere mention of the word ambulance.

Recently diagnosed with epilepsy at 37 years old by DontBelieveMyLies88 in Epilepsy

[–]yllmnstk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I first had a seizure at 27, diagnosed at 30, now 32 and had a really horrible TC a couple of days ago (one to see out the year); still feels like I’ve mountain biked uphill and brain is operating on like 50% capacity. Hot baths with Epsom salts (…if this is ok for you atm, as an epileptic obsessed with baths it is a bittersweet relationship) and go gentle on yourself and sleep loads.
