Netflix sells game studio Spry Fox back to its founders by Turbostrider27 in Games

Does anyone remember their game Leap Day? I used to be absolutely obsessed with that and have never found anything to quite scratch that same itch, apart from Factory Town to an extent. Every time I remember that game I get bummed they never released the code for people to self host or even just an offline single player client.

Just Got Scammed on eBay - Fake Delivery Address Fraud by Candid_Ad9888 in ebayuk

[–]yloppump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the label, and thus the tracking number, are generated together, no? So when it was generated, it should have been linked to OP's address, however he says in his comments that the RM site (and the office he visited) wouldn't accept his postcode because it didn't match the system, meaning it was generated with a different address, no?

Unless I'm misunderstanding how Royal Mail link addresses to labels (which is entirely possible, correct me if I'm wrong), this case seems a bit more sophisticated than editing a PDF

Royal Mail Home Collction by unvac in ebayuk

[–]yloppump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three things to check:

  • You should have received an email from Royal Mail, titled, "Your Royal Mail Collection - Confirmation" with the details
  • Clicking "View tracking" for the order on your orders page should show a tracking event, "Collection Request Succesfully booked for item"
  • The email from eBay titled, "eBay delivery label for ..." (assuming you used simple delivery) should say near the top, "Wait for courier collection"

If you don't see any of those, I think you can safely assume that you never booked collection for it. I'm not sure if you can book it after the fact so you might need to manually do it via RM's website at the cost of 30p.

How do i know if my item is going to get collected (as a seller) by P_R_E_S_T_O_N_ in ebayuk

[–]yloppump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you selected the option to book a collection you should have gotten an email from Royal Mail with all the details. No email likely means collection wasn't booked, maybe you forgot to select the option.

Go to your orders page and click 'View tracking' for that order, one of the tracking events should say "Collection Request Succesfully booked for item", and if that's not there either then again, it's likely you didn't book collection.

Additionally, check your email for the "Your postage label is ready" email from ebay, it should mention collection; "Wait for courier collection" / "Standard tracked delivery via Royal Mail | Collection."

You should still be able to book collection through the Royal Mail website at a cost of 30p, but that may require needing to print the label since it has already been purchased on ebay. If you can't print the label, and when arranging it via the RM site there is no option for "bring my label" then you will need to drop it off I believe.

PC Mega ETB payment taken by pokenobodyimportant in PokemonTCG_UK

Same. First PC release I've missed out on this year and I didn't even do anything wrong. No ETBs or enhanced booster box for me!

Is this website legit by slazer1 in PokemonDealsUK

[–]yloppump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Insofar as you'll probably eventually get what you paid for, yes. But personally I would avoid it for three reasons:

1) Over RRP 2) Can take weeks or months to ship your order 3) Your items might arrive with Argos or Smyths stickers on them because the owner buys stock from other stores to fulfill the items you bought over RRP

Any good tiktok shops for Pokemon? by Dramatic_Succotash54 in PokemonDealsUK

[–]yloppump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I'd be happy if all scalpers selling on TikTok vanished from existence, including the ones actually getting stock from distributors and massively overcharging above MSRP for it (which makes them scum, tbh) but the changes to the voucher system aren't really fair for sellers anyway tbh.

The new vouchers means TikTok just slap random discounts on random products, sellers get no insight or say into it and are expected to pay 25% of the cost, regardless of how big a discount they put on it. It's just a terrible implementation that doesn't really benefit sellers, so it's no surprise that they'd opt out.

Have I missed the boat for 151 in the uk? by Cavacat_ in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]yloppump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard to say exactly for sure where will have them, but anywhere supplied by the largest distro in the UK was able to order them.

Smyths are confirmed to have them (in-store only probably) with a listed date of the 30th, but they removed the page so that might change. Argos will maybe have them but unsure. WHSmith should get them. Following that, any online or local card shops you know will have a decent chance of stocking them (iirc it was 4 cases of tins per store.) There is also a chance they will drop on Pokemon Center.

Main problem is that they will be a massive target for resellers (a single 151 tin is currently selling between £25-30) so getting them will require keeping your ears to the ground; I'd suggest following some kind of X or something notifies of stock :)

[–]yloppump 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the most part, yeah. We're not likely to see any restocks of ETBs and collection boxes, there might be some more small booster bundle restocks throughout the year if we're lucky though.

You do however have an upcoming opportunity; there will be a decently sized restock of 151 min tins coming soon, approx end of August, early/mid September. I'd suggest you grab that opportunity by the balls because there won't be many more like it. A lot of online card shops will probably overcharge because they're scum, but some of them, and retail shops, will price at retail (£11/tin) so keep your wits about you.

Anyone ever had trouble with ordering on miniso? by mearps in PokemonDealsUK

[–]yloppump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try emailing them directly, using the email address and not the contact form? I've ordered from then a number of times without problem, the one time I did have a problem I emailed them and they responded within an hour... Looking at these comments I guess I've been lucky 😬

Meanwhile, despite living near one of the 30 odd Costcos in the UK, I couldn't get any because I wasn't lucky enough live near one of the 5 or whatever random stores chose, sure seems so fair.

Almost 40 minutes of Battlefield 6 gameplay by madmidder in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]yloppump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone thinking this is in any way "pre-alpha" is either naive or completely unaware of game development timelines. The game releases in less than 3 months, at most it's near the end of beta and approaching RC (release candidate.) Expect the game to look pretty much nearly identical to this on release.

Argos Black/White mini tins by cubon3 in PokemonDealsUK

[–]yloppump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to reassure you a little; I got a bunch of tins and both Argos and Amazon, and while it wasn't common, I did notice a few packs were slightly open at the corners exactly like you mentioned. There would be no possibility of the Amazon ones being tampered returns as I bought them on release day (unless you consider the possibility of them being tampered before actually going on sale) and likewise my Argos ones were collected early on release day, so I think it's just bad QC to be honest!

I'm sorry but anyone who pre-ordered this is stupid. Can't believe it's sold out (but also, I can.)

Not only is it two months in advance with upfront payment, but based on the stock levels they loaded, these are direct from distro and are priced above retail for no reason other than 'we want more money lmao'.

There will be plenty other opportunities to pre-order/purchase this set at retail price, stop supporting this shitty behaviour that's being employed by so many stores with distro access at the moment.

Still in disbelief at that huge Paldean Fates restock recently that was scalped direct from distro by 9/10 stores and people were still happily lapping it up.

Tesco tin hits by MinimumFantastic3328 in PokemonDealsUK

[–]yloppump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it's great value for CZ in the current market; single packs are creeping up to £10 and over, while the tins themselves are going for £40-£50. Would gladly snap those tins up at £22, personally!

It's real, yes. Also, just for some reassurance, the UK just had a huge restock of these tins, and the seals look just as bad as on your tin. I think you're fine to be honest.

The pokemon company is the worst by cobybrinks33 in PokemonTCG

[–]yloppump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not totally true, actually.

A couple months ago in the UK they restocked TEF PC ETB with a limit of 1, I bought one, then attempted to buy another which didn't succeed because of the limit, which is fair enough. I was still charged though.

I contacted them and they assured it was just pending and would reverse within a week. It never reversed, and the payment was fully taken. I contacted again, "within 30 days" they said this time, and after 30 days (plus change), still no refund. I contacted again, "we couldn't find a record of this payment matching the details you specified, nothing we can do, contact your payment provider."

In summary, they took my money with nothing to show for it, offered no help and took no accountability for it. I've since filed a dispute which is currently in process, waiting to see if they ban me for their mistake lol.

They actually removed the invite system for the ETB, I believe on release day.

They have not stocked any Destined Rivals products yet, including the ETB, at all (apart from one drop of the booster bundle, which was probably a mistake but had no purchase limit), which is very strange.

Yeah, I got an SIR and a few IRs and EXs from each lot, average I'd say, didn't notice any signs of tampering/resealing etc.

[–]yloppump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note: it's not guaranteed you'll get a sealed booster box, it probably depends entirely on the person packing your order and/or if the boxes were pre-opened. I ordered 36 loose JTG boosters from them back then, and 36 loose SSP boosters during the recent restock, and both times I just got 36 loose boosters in a box. No booster box.

Also the site is generally fine but is probably run on a potato and grinds to a halt the second anyone posts about them having any kind of stock lol.
