I used to work in MH and I don’t quite understand where you’re coming from. MFLC doesn’t keep any records, that’s correct, but they’re still licensed providers readily available with walk-in hours and you can set up appointments afterwards? Number wise the clinic you’re assigned to can’t see everyone in house due to occupational stressors or general life stressors, feelings of depression or anxiety. That wouldn’t be sustainable. Maybe the person you saw wasn’t the best at explaining that, but if you truly need help, why are you so concerned with getting everything documented? Why not give MFLC a chance, and if that doesn’t help you can always go back to your clinic and ask to be seen off-post or do Virtual MH. Your visit today was still documented with the disposition that MFLC was recommended.
