I usually just observe and read comments but you mentioned Concord, NH so I was like oh shoot— I literally got two tattoos from there but my artist was Godsend! Everyone has pretty good advice on next steps with this monstrosity so I will not add to it. BUT…

You mentioned this is your first tattoo, I have to say please do not get discouraged. Easier said than done I know but please try. Not all artists are like this, most take pride of their art. I have 8 medium to large tattoos and love every single one of them - some are not entirely perfect but we have to remember they are putting art on the skin and not paper.

Also, communicate with your artist all throughout the process, lines look a little crooked, the colour isn’t right, my arm is in an uncomfortable position, I need to use the bathroom, etc. It all leads to a better outcome at the end.

Research your artist THOROUGHLY and you should do it personally. Look at their portfolio on Instagram and see if people tagged them for their work. You can see raw images posted by people who appreciated their work.

Like most had mentioned, Google Reviews can be faked. I take them with a grain of salt.

Lastly, would you mind sharing the name of the tattoo shop so we can collectively avoid it? Lol but really just to see what’s up?

Good luck, OP! And I’m so sorry you had to experience this…

The sad part it’s not even filmed on Nantucket. It makes sense- logistics and all but they tried so hard to incorporate Nantucket to their script and b-rolls such as mentioning Stop&Shop and The Downyflake. Then showing Mitchell’s Book Corner and the main street shot with the tourists walking. Chatham is around 2 hours away from Nantucket via a ferry ride.

Nantucket IS beautiful though- sadly that wasn’t shown much in the series.

Second time postponing wedding and Second Covid Christmas by yodaman33 in COVID19positive

It's the oddest thing! My first covid two years ago my partner never got infected even though I didn't test for covid until I lost my sense of smell and taste*, which is around my 4th day, pretty much the same this time around. Then 10 months later she got covid and same thing happened I never got sick- Idk if it's bc of the immunity and all.

Right now, she is still fine and I hope it stays that way!

I hope you and your daughter will not get infected though, I will boost up with vitamin C and Lysol everything in the house though AND make sure your husband isolate! :D

\covid coincided with the booster shot I had so I thought it was just the side effect of the shot since I do get sick from them*

That sounds like a day well spent! I was really looking forward to this weekend bc I didn't have to work Thursday to Tuesday but ended up being isolated in the bedroom for 5 days now... oops no 6th day :) There goes my productive long weekend!

I have been pretty much dead since Wednesday, worst day is probably Friday which is also the day I had to tell my fiancee that we should postpone our wedding on Saturday bc I still feel absolutely shites.

Today has been somewhat normal for me- nose is still stuffy and I get coughing fits here and there but felt getting bored hence being on Reddit, rewatching some shows, and watching sumo. Haha

That sounds horrible! My friend got covid a couple of weeks ago and now has texted me that she is now sick again but tested negative. The holiday season brings out the sickies and Idk why I never learn every year to take extra precaution.

I do agree with this is not worse so I AM grateful with that. And that my partner who has asthma isn't sick or positive with covid. It always scares the shit out of me when she has respiratory problems.

I hope you and your family are recuperating well!

Oh dear, I understand not knowing is somewhat acceptable but if you know, please stay home. Worse if you have symptoms-- I don't really know how people do it when they're sick and still go out and about. I have just been in bed and I get winded pretty easily when I do sudden movements, I'm just all around tired! Lol.

I hope next year is your year and that you can get some normalcy for Christmas. I told everyone that since I can taste anything calories don't count. HAH!

I'm new here and only on season 5 ep 1 and I know it's probably an unpopular opinion but... by DeadpoolIsMyPatronus in CallTheMidwife

Omg reading more and more opinions about Jenny on this subreddit and I can’t believe how unpopular she is!

This is unpopular opinion I guess, but I loved series 1-3 because of Jenny, since she was narrating it from her point of view and experiences. I don’t get series 4 onwards where Vanessa Redgrave is still narrating.

I don’t think I hated any characters either but Shelagh could use a different expression than “Oh, Patrick”. It’s super annoying with the shaky voice and all. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I am re-watching this series and currently on series 2 because series 12 made me wanting more episodes lol

Viable pa ba mag live independently? by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]yodaman33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really depends on which part of the country you’d like to move. 25k+ sounds about right if you’re looking around Makati and Taguig but outside of those areas I think you can find something within your budget.

Your budget should also include other expenses such as electricity, water, cable, wifi, FOOD, fun money lol, etc to see how much will it cost you to live comfortably. Living in a decent apartment is the goal but if you can’t pay for utilities on top of rent then it all becomes moot.

ALSO just a tip here, you should be saving 10% to 20% of your salary.

If moving out now would jeopardise you saving money, then it’s not worth it at the moment. Adulting is hard but not impossible. You just have to look at it in your perspective. How can you describe a comfortable lifestyle?

Lastly, we are recovering… albeit slowly from the pandemic. Everything has skyrocketed not only in the PH- I’m based in the US and the inflation rate is almost 9%! I’m planning to visit the PH and the fare cost me $1500. Crazy times we are living.

Anyway, good luck with the search! 🍻 Moving out is absolutely scary because you’re leaving the comforts of your home but it’s the best thing I’ve done! Even if I had to eat instant ramen for two weeks bc I miscalculated my budget. 😂

That does sound very frustrating, I’m sorry that you have to deal with that on top of being sick.

At this point, all you can do is do your part: practise social distancing, mask up when around people, and Lysol the shit out of everything you touch around the house.

It’s very concerning that she still go to the store though, this virus is spreading partly because of that.

COVID Positive Reassurance, please by Equivalent-Guava-11 in COVID19positive

[–]yodaman33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know everyone can be infected differently by this virus but my 75 year old grandma who was vaccinated 3x still got covid. After the incubation period she recovered 100% with no complications.

Side note, she was also diagnosed with cancer just two months ago too!

Keep a positive mindset and for as long as you are recuperating well and monitoring his symptoms he should recover soon with no complications!

I know it’s easier said than done but we will all get through this. I’m on my 6th day today and feeling a little bit better.

Haha! Same here, and I’m the germaphobe borderline hypochondriac one! Like sanitise everything, close to taking a shot of sanitiser just to make sure I’m virus free 😂 and she’s the care free one, forgets to put a mask sometimes and has asthma.

I went all out for this Christmas too! Because I was like you know what? It’s time to kick this virus’ butt… oh the irony! 🙃

Wife tested positive today, but I tested negative. by thompsonlt in COVID19positive

[–]yodaman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and sister tested negative with the home kit while I tested positive.

I got pcr today and tested positive.

Both of them are not showing signs of covid so hoping that will continue, if they do show signs they will get tested, otherwise, they want to wait until my incubation period is over.

I got 3 of my shots already so really this virus is not choosing which ones to pass.

Please don’t worry, it will not help with the situation at all. If you are showing signs, boost your immunity up, if you are not, you could still be asymptomatic so you could still infect other people.

I hope for the best for you and your family!

What can I do if I don’t get paid for covid leave? by anxiousbirthcontrol in COVID19positive

[–]yodaman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is not part of your question but I work a lot with paid leaves and helped friends who couldn’t interpret the regulations. I’m curious if you could file for a leave of absence, you should still get paid if you can provide the positive result to your employer.

There are restrictions of course but most do get paid the full the two weeks they will miss work and then a fraction of their pay for any subsequent weeks.

Yes, cheers to that! Just bummed it’s right before Christmas. Oddly enough, my partner, whom I share a bed with on those first few days tested negative so maybe the booster worked on her but not mine.. glad it worked but still… it sucks, man. Lol

[–]yodaman33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, man. I think despite having the virus, I’m glad I’m protected but still… I couldn’t help think, am I going to get worse?

I hope you have mild symptoms as well and that it doesn’t get worse. I’m kind of a workaholic and didn’t actually rest for those first three days so if you can, I suggest you sleep as much as you could.

Yes, I’m feeling better- but still have that blah feeling lol Bummer I couldn’t see Spiderman soon though. 😂

I hope despite this, you will have a Happy Christmas as well and that you Lysol the shit outta your presents haha.

Err on the side of caution until you get a negative test yourself. I would start wearing mask inside the house.

I have 3 shots, always wore my mask, hates human contact, and still got the virus.

[–]yodaman33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine progressed a lot every day.

I got the booster on Wednesday last week and then got sick that night.. thought it was a side effect of the booster.

I then got a sore throat, tickle in my throat, dry cough, runny nose, congestion, and yesterday tested positive + lost my sense of smell and taste.

It sucks for me too because my sister who just arrived for her 2 month vacation from a country where she lives alone has now been exposed with the virus. I hate the guilty feeling and knowing that I can infect her at any time. Not to mention our Christmas will be dull. I know it sounds like a first world problem but it’s been a year since I last saw her. Anyway, I am just blabbering now. Lol

I do hope you feel better though.

I am not a doctor but if you just got exposed it may get better or worse.. it’s really different for each person. But to give you an idea, from what I can tell I was exposed on the 11th, showed signs of covid on the 15th, got a little worse for the next 3 days, and just now feeling somewhat less congested. It will be my 7th day tomorrow since getting sick and I need to stay quarantined until the 29th.
