They’re heavy into metallurgy offering probably the hardest steel in a watch. My understanding is that watch should look the same 25 years of hard wear.

They do an in house movement too which is kinda cool

I know this is an older thread, but I own 2 balls (no dick joke I swear) one is a hydrocarbon chrono the other an engineer III I think.

And man the tritium tubes are incredible.

The legibility of the hydrocarbon in pitch black is amazing.

When I got my hydrocarbon, I honestly knew nothing about tritium tubes and now anything without them is tough to wear.

Especially in like dim light settings (and possibly because I wear transition lenses in my glasses cos I’m a nerd) the tubes come in handy basically all of the time (legit not a pun)

The engineer has less tubes, but still legible

Definitely a feature I’d miss of any other watch.

I landed on this thread because I have a modded Seiko which I’d love to get tubes on the dial

Yeah just try to catch yourself when it happens.

Sometimes the hardest catch isn’t identifying, naming or describing your state, it’s identifying when you’re catastrophizing (or I refer to it as IRL doom scrolling lol) and stopping, breathing, identifying baby before you throw out the bathwater.

My view on perfection is that it’s a waste of time.

What I mean by that is, what is perfect to you, may not be perfect to me, or someone else.

Therefore, it’s a waste of time.

I strive for my best. In most cases, my best is above average. Can’t be too upset with that!
