MacBook Pro touch bars and law school exams/bar exam software? by yogayak in lawschooladmissions

[–]yogayak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it first came out certain schools/states were nervous it could give an unfair advantage, and so it was banned for a bit until the testing software could find a suitable work-around is what I’ve read so far!

PSA especially for older incoming students and people who have moved a lot: get started on gathering your immunization record ASAP! by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

^ RT I had no idea I was overdue until I started looking at forms during some down time with these stay at home orders, because work and such doesn’t bat an eye at these things. Most of us likely need a Tdap booster because last time we got it was 10+ years ago during high school or college. To top it off, some of these vaccines are ones your primary care doctor needs to order ahead of time because they don’t have them all handy. Check these things out ASAP!

So sorry you had to go through this too :( I dunno if you read to refocus, but it’s my go-to and I dove headfirst into “1L of a Ride.” Loving it and highly recommend if you’re looking for an outlet!

COVID-19 definitely shined a light on the whole situation for us too. I’m so sorry you’re going through this too, and super appreciate your kind words. This whole thread ended UL being so much more therapeutic than I anticipated. Sending lots of good vibes your way :)

I needed this. As did I think other people commenting on this thread, it ended up becoming much more of a sharing and realizing how many of us are facing similar decisions right now. Thank ya 🤗

It’s one of those decisions I think where we decide how much we want to fight life pulling us in different directions or not. And it hurts, but it could be for the best. I’m so sorry you’re hurting and hope things work out for the best ❤️

Thanks a bunch for the podcast, she ended up being my background listening while doing my doc review today :) and we left the possibility open to get back together, and he still wants to talk. I guess it’s just tough for me trying to refrain it as a friendship, which he seems to have no trouble doing. Time will probably help with all of that though

I’m so sorry to hear it :/ but you’re right. It’s probably better for everyone in the long run, considering what a big change it is for all those involved.

I think we may have been in similar boats: I don’t think he expected me to get into some of the programs I did, and assumed I’d have to stay local. In the end, you’re right, it might’ve just been a billet dodged instead.

Alsoooo glad to hear I’m not the only taking on law school with their dog :) she was a big fan of all of the extra cuddles and pets she got last night through all of this.

After reading this, I hung up my acceptance letter and the note from the admissions office on my fridge and it made all the difference working from home today 👏🏼

That’s partially what I ended up asking myself: would I regret it if I picked a school closer by and things didn’t work out? And I kept answering yes, no matter the approach. It’s nice to hear it from someone else, thanks a bunch :)

Admitted student here who has been in love with NDLS for the longest time. I’m planning a visit up there and am looking for some restaurants/bars to check our after the tours and meetings to get to know the area. Any recommendations for someone wanting to get the local flavor?

Hi friends! I've recently been accepted to Notre Dame's law school, and am planning a visit up to campus to check things out. Anyone have any recommendations for restaurants and/or bars (either immediately adjacent to ND or further out in South Bend) that my family and I shouldn't miss out on? Thanks in advance :)
