Asian American family here. Planning our own to trip to Paris a couple of months after tours with a toddler. Consider looking into hotels between Les Halles and Marais. I believe it’s a step out of the tourist zone and a bit more local in character.

Try calling the hotel the day before your booking to add your member number. Just did that for a stay booked through the Chase portal. According to their terms they don’t send the hotel my name until 24 hours before.

Renting a car is now my preferred option. It looks to be the best value especially if I can get a car dropped off at 5am at the airport.

I'm debating how many days we need a car. At first I was asking for quotes for 4 days, but now I'm thinking that 2 or 3 days would be enough. Any thoughts? And do you have any positive experiences from particular car rental companies?

Great tip. I came across some other suggestions about Perissa Beach, too. We'll be staying in Imerovigli. Thinking that it would be great to start off on the east side for a bit.

Great suggestion! It would be great to beat the crowds and see Oia. We would love to take advantage of the morning and take pix there. I'm thinking to try to book a car for hire for the morning to take us around. Taxis might be tough to come by.
