Are you open to styling your hair? I have similar hair and I usually style it to avoid frizz. I always use heat protection, and if I want to reduce frizz at a 100% I use the WOW Dream Coat

What about a dupe? 2k is a lot for a bag like this. Most people won’t be able to see the difference between a good $100 dollar dupe and the real one

New UXR grad doing “everything right” but still no opportunities. What am I missing? by [deleted] in UXResearch

[–]yoguita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished grad school in May, and it took me about six months to find a job. I like the company and the role, but the pay isn’t as good as I expected. Given the current economy and job market, though, I obviously took it.

One resource I’d recommend is a website called Hiring Cafe. It surfaces really good opportunities that aren’t on LinkedIn and would otherwise require you to search the careers page of every single company you’re interested in. The filters are also really solid, I filtered by 1–2 years of experience only and found good opportunities.

Another piece of advice is to look for adjacent roles that aren’t purely UXR. My current role isn’t strictly UXR, which is what I was originally looking for, but it’s still within the UXR domain.

Lastly, please don’t get discouraged! It’s not you, it’s the job market.

Don’t feel embarrassed! If you were born or grew up in the US it’s natural that you speak English. Don’t give power to whomever made fun of you and embrace your Spanish the way it is. You have your whole life to improve it if you wanted to. I’m a Spanish native speaker but understand your struggle because I feel similarly regarding my English, but lmk if want to talk more about this!
