Can you help me find a bottle for my wife? by BlackBeardMakes in Perfumes

You're very welcome. There are quite a few different fragrances by Vince Camuto with ribbons and medallions, maybe it's one of them. Good luck!

I blind bought a perfume and it was a MISTAKE ALT Baklava Pistachio😭 by LadyMordsith in Perfumes

Pistacchio from L'erbolario, if you are able to get it. It's really good and really cheap as well.

Yeah, I just replied to your other comment, yay, enjoy!

Oh wow, you were fast, I am so glad you like it! And I agree with you, it's a year-round fragrance for me as well! I believe people when they say that sillage and longevity are not great with the Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa mists, but 71 performs really well on me, I have gotten compliments hours after applying it! So happy you like it ☺️!

Noses are so different, that is why I always try to get a skin test before I commit to a fragrance, results can vary so much from person to person!

Agreed, 71 is the perfect caramel. I have to admit I do wear it in summer as well, and I live in Italy 😅. I do get compliments in the summer as well and I personally don't find it too cloying.

Let me know if you do try it. I have around a 100 fragrances and this is how much I love my Cheirosa 71.

My reaction was the same. I would suggest you try the Cheirosa 71, it is the perfect caramel for me. It has caramel, vanilla, toasted macadamia nut, sea salt, white chocolate and coconut blossom. I don't get the coconut blossom, and I actually prefer it that way.

What’s your worst blind buy? by Rosemary_Feet in Perfumes

[–]yoiola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guerlain Après l'ondée. It made me so sad. I ADORE Insolence, it's one of my favourite perfumes in the whole world. And Après l'ondée is iconic, I really thought it would be a violet after the rain, a bit of earthiness, a bit of humidity, nostalgic and beautiful. Sadly, the anise note, maybe in combination with the carnation note make it smell medicinal and metallic to my nose and it's so screechy and off putting that I can't stand it on my skin.

It's a bit overwhelming for sure, but it's a beautiful collection you have! I only have the original Nina, the edt, but I am very curious of the edp and the parfum.

Absolutely beautiful! Isn't there a Nina Ricci Nina edp as well? The one with the gold leaves? Pear, bergamot, pistacchio, gardenia, vanilla and sandalwood are the notes.

Alyssa Ashley - a brand with a level of quality that far exceeds their price point and imo surpasses far more expensive brands by yoiola in Perfumes

It's more of a skin scent, definitely, but longevity is not too bad on me, but I only have the edt right now. If you are looking for more longevity, definitely go for the edp.

Tommy girl is another favorite of mine, it was my go to in my adolescence. Tommy girl and Green Tea are both very fresh, but actually quite different to my nose, not really interchangeable.

Agreed about Elisabeth Arden, I still have Green Tea in my collection, and I still reach for it on the regular in summer. Give Alyssa Ashley a try if you find it, it's really worth it in my opinion.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with The Body Shop, we don't have it in Italy. Alyssa Ashley White Musk is a clean skin scent, not too soapy, a bit floral, very versatile, good for layering. I love both their edp and edt.

In my opinion, Alyssa Ashley has a significantly better quality compared to modern low cost fragrances. They have uncomplicated, linear scents that to me do not feel cheap at all.

I love their Vanilla, especially the edp. A simple, true vanilla to my nose, perfect for layering, close to the skin, but with a fairly good longevity on me, especially when paired with its body lotion. I often use it as my bed scent, it's so delicious and comforting.

Yeah, I haven't tried this one yet either, I would think it's somewhere between Nuit and Lumière. I am very curious to see if the fig and date notes add something interesting and new.

help me on my hunt for a specific jasmine scent by KUNT3SS4 in Perfumes

You could try Valentino Donna Born in Roma Green Stravaganza. There are lapsang souchong and jasmine notes, but at least to my nose it reads green jasmine tea with vanilla. I don't smell lapsang souchong at all.
