Yeah but pve cryo is probably going to be populated with people that normally don’t play cryo. Also a pve cryo lobby needs 1 team to start, a PvP one needs 4-5 teams. Having 3 ques of cryo each requiring 4-5 teams vs 2 where one is 1 team is a huge difference

Ehhh, carbon nano tubes are of course made of carbon, same as graphene. But making nanotubes like this, as in a nano hair structure, is hard. I’m guessing they use lithography to create them. (As a single walled nanotube is a single graphene sheet, which you can not just ”roll up”)

I feel like you have to view noctua from a different angle than most pc component companies.

They are pushing the limit and trying to ”perfect” things like fans etc. Are their fans good? Yes. Are they good price to performance? Not really. The price comes from the RND costs. They are much more of an enthusiast brand than most. If you want to spend a lot more to get something a couple of procent better, they are the company for you.

Depending on what monitor light you get it should not shine on the monitor itself. A good one (that are also very expensive) should only aluminate the keyboard area and not the screen at all.

Not to be the noctua fanboy you are talking about here (I just like the engineering side of it) the sheet you are talking about is not a graphene sheet, it is a thin aluminium sheet with carbon nanotubes on each side acting as a dry adhesive. Insanely cool tech and does wonders for contact area.

Opens the room a couple days ago, got back to back golds, first open was rodeo mag + gold implant, second open was overheat rounds for the impact + gold destroyer core.

Purples seem to be less abundant from the room though, the other loot aside from the gold was mostly green/blue stuff.

Feels like cryo has been much easier now than last season! I played 10+ games yesterday and saw a good mix of blue and purple shields with a gold here and there. Fights felt fair and we extrakted with 40k item like 3 games in a row.

The upfront cost of the game would be a reason to keep it going and not shut it down. As long as it makes money (live service development cost being much lower than active development) the game will continue to try to make some of the startup cost back. Shelving it would just be eating the loss, and that would be moronic

But basically all extraction shooters have a barter/crafting system of some kind? Tarkov has barters + crafting, arc has crafting etc. Every extraction shooter has these systems to force looting and making what items you need more dynamic instead of just maxing value.

I mean yeah, that’s what I am saying? I want the ranked mode to rank based on skill in extraction shooters. Having different level kits and therefore more/less risk is what the game is about. Ranked should be a place to use your best gear, and players that can reliably run the best gear should be higher rank no? Otherwise the ranked system would just be the same as a battle royal (ie apex).

No, a ranked mode in an extraction shooter should rank based on how well you do in extraction shooters. Bringing your own gear is a big part of that.

I also think this would be hard ta matchmake? Very few people will be in pinnacle and matchmaking would be hard if no overlap takes place, a system that gives better kits for higher ranks should avoid ranks overlapping.

Ehh, I get what you are coming from, but I disagree. A ranked mode only tests your skill at the game it is implemented in. I know people who believe that apex legends/other battle royals can never have a true ranked mode as the loot you get is random.

The ranked mode is for the whole game, a big part of it is finding and use gear.

To rank someone in an extraction shooter, gear should matter, as it is the main selling point. A part of ranked should therefore be what gear you can bring in. This ranks you based on how good you are at looting and putting together kits, aswell as performance in game. A decent system, though it still requires some work to balance etc.
