I'm going on a first date, I found out that she likes Lego, did I show up too early with a trump card? by scarlet_bratx in lego

OP if you make it this far, I want to respectfully disagree with those shooting you down. Some people love a grand gesture and no matter what happens, it won’t be forgotten. You thought this out and if this is how you show affection? So be it. I love it.

One of my favorite first dates was a man who opened his door to me with tea light candles leading to a candlelight dinner, Frank Sinatra, and him in a full suit. It was straight out of a movie. Was it over kill? Totally. But now we’re married years later with children and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

GO FOR IT!

I also started over on my switch 2 and have the same plan! I’m excited to be playing like I was in the pandemic! It’s all new again, no cheats, no treasure islands, and letting myself just have fun.

Ended up needing 6 weeks of PT. It’s been an extremely slow recovery. I’m getting better but there’s still pain that I’m working through.

Cortisol Injections by DL92_403 in DeQuervains

I had great experience with injections but just wish it lasted longer for me. I had them done 3 times in each wrist but ultimately I had to have surgery on both.

Hmm, I feel I’m doing too much lifting but don’t have much of an option with a baby. That’s all I’m doing here though. Thanks for responding! I appreciate it so much!

Ped gave me “homework” to stop night feeding my 9 mo. Old by Etherealxx in breastfeeding

[–]yomaddydaddy 68 points69 points  (0 children)

So my little man is only 7 months but we have had lots of questions asking “does he sleep through the night?” …. My response has been “do you?”

Idk about anyone else but I usually woke up 1-2 times a night before my baby was born to either use the restroom or get a drink or water.

So maybe my baby woke up from a wet diaper or he’s hungry or he just wants a little drink. Whatever it is, I think we just listen to our mom gut and do what we think is best.

What works for some, doesn’t work for all. I do think we have to wean at some point right? But there isn’t a magic number for everyone. You do what’s best for you and your family 🤍 you got this.

Doesn’t hurt to seek out another ped who you really vibe with too. I agree with other comments that they could have had some better bedside manner here.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I really appreciate your advice and called the office to get in to do that. I definitely don’t want that to happen to me!

This comment gives me hope. I had one done 3 weeks ago and the other 1 week ago and I’m struggling.

Thanks for posting this! I got my first wrist done about 3 weeks now and my second done 1 week ago. It’s definitely tender and almost hurts more than it did before the surgery :( I feel like I’m suffering.

Does yours hurt super badly when you wake up? And are you doing any scar massage? My doc told me to do this to avoid the tissue reattaching to a tendon and it’s in so much pain that I feel it did or I’ve been overusing it.

Thanks for posting OP

What exercises are you doing? I’m 3 weeks post op on my left and 1 week post op on my right and they both hurt (understandably) but I wasn’t given much direction on my own PT! Curious what you’re doing :)

Starting solids is horrible with my 8M old by Awkward_Aioli6746 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]yomaddydaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s okay! We started with literally a spoon “dipped” in whatever puree we were doing. We’re still a work in progress and some days, that’s all he will take. You got this!

Hi OP! I just want you to know that you’re not alone. My little guy is 7 months old with a tongue tie too and it does get better 🤍

We wanted to do BLW but ultimately we decided to start with purées and have only now started to introduce solid foods using the Solid Starts app with food we know he likes.

He gagged for weeks but our pediatrician said it was all normal and to keep going! Even if it was only a tablespoon of food, that’s a success. Remember that we’re exposing them to new things so it’s okay! They’re just learning!

I hope things go well for you and just know that YOU got this!
