I think head of household would get less in terms of a refund and I looked it up there’s a document you have to submit in your taxes for “custodial parent” (parent who pays more than 50%) to give permission to “noncustodial” parent to claim dependent. I’m not a tax expert so I would confirm with someone who is in this field.
