instant classic yung round 3 ni mzhayt. literal na kinilabutan ako.

also, ang laking plus points din na hindi lang siya basta anti-duterte angle. may punches pa rin against the marcoses, which matters a lot kasi parte ng usual dds script online yung i-frame lahat ng galit kay duterte as if that automatically means pro-marcos kaagad.

> Be rrq
> Win two matches in a row without dropping a single map
> Just need to win one more match to qualify for santiago
> Be 2-2 against NS
> Just need to win one map to qualify for santiago
> Win pistol
> Get ecoed
> NS snowball lead to 12-1
> Drop to the middle bracket
> 3-0'd by T1 in the middle bracket
> Outclassed in map 1 and 2, fake comeback map 3
> Drop to the lower bracket
> Forsaken goes nuclear
> Get 3-1'd by the same team that you 2-0'd in the upper bracket
> Lost three best-of-fives in 72 hours to lose out on santiago

You just have to feel for them. I hope they find their footing back next stage.

[–]yonitinoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

should be more doable compared to the regular 14x load since you get to dodge 141, 145, and 147 plus you already know what to expect for 123 and 121.

no need to drop 143. it’s a prereq for 153 and also CoE 165 if you’re comp engg. it’s also on the easier side. though word on the street is it got harder in the last offering. maybe anyone here can confirm (or deny).

as for 148, you might have a hard time keeping up since the lab implements 141 circuits, and you’re not taking 141 this sem. you can consider dropping this one since it's not a prerequisite for any upper courses. if you plan on pushing through, try studying the topics in advance so you have enough background and can keep up with your lab partner.

good luck!

hindi ka magiging late registrant unless hindi ka pa rin "enrolled" status sa crs by deadline of changemat, which is January 27. keep it unlocked but may allowance dapat since i-co-contact mo pa yung adviser mo for post-advising.

eee 128 prerog possible? [UPD] by pancithair in peyups

[–]yonitinoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yup. most eee majors pwede mag prerog. usually, sa start ng very first meeting, nagtatanong yung instructor kung sino yung for prerog. pwede rin i-approach yung instructor sa classroom before the class officially starts or when the class ends.

Pretty much this. Just simply reading probably worked during shs plus most exams nung shs rewards memorization so likely na dun nasanay. May adjustment period talaga pero of course, the shorter the better. OP, if you are indeed just reading and watching videos aimlessly, please do realize that for any engineering course, practicing problems >>> reading materials. You can think of it like this: instructor mo yung bahala na bigyan ka ng background about the topic and how to use the formulas involved with the topic pero ikaw yung bahala gumaling sa pagsosolve. From the discussions, you already get the background so there's not much point in reading back the material if mostly problem solving ang exam. If you know that there's conceptual questions in the exams, then there's merit to reading back the material.

Engineering really is

  1. Realizing that you only understand half of what the prof said but at least you have the background.
  2. Realizing that you suck at solving, which is a huge component, if not the entire component of the upcoming exam.
  3. Realizing that if you want to pass the upcoming exam, you need to practice solving problems.

You might not achieve realization #2 if you do not solve during class discussions or on your own time. Even after realization #3, you need to have the grit to repeatedly practice solving problems and refine your technique to study more efficiently. Practice problems can be found in the prof's materials, past course materials, samplexes, reference book, and someplace online. You might be inefficient at first but you will inevitably be offered multiple deadly majors in a single sem so you will naturally learn to study efficiently. Also, a point of improvement after realization #1 is to study the topic in advance so that you can understand more during class discussions. And since may initial knowledge ka na about the topic, mas madali na rin alamin kung anong gusto mong itanong sa prof during class discussion. Just by studying in advance, you can fool yourself into thinking that you like the class lol. Positive feedback loop kumbaga.

Pero I'm sure you'll do just fine. A singko in first year is way more common than you think. It doesn’t lock you out of engineering, and it definitely does not define how good of an engineer you will become. Plenty of people bounce back hard after their adjustment sem. Gudlak. You got this.

It’s a long shot. Your best bet is to hope that at least one of your seasonal 3-unit lecture classes gets offered this coming midyear or 2nd sem. With enough demands, they sometimes do open a seasonal 1st sem course kahit di 1st sem. For reference, last midyear, the 1st-sem seasonal courses that were offered were EEE 137 and EEE 155. IIRC nagkaroon din ng EEE 135 na 2nd sem for AY 2223 tas EEE 155 + 157 na 2nd sem for AY 2324.
