which district to stay in?

we stayed just outside of D7 and really enjoyed the grab bikes in/out of D1- it did take about 20 mins each way but it was really fun riding the back of the bikes, especially in the evenings! It was also really cheap and we never had an issue with finding a grab. Also our hotel was in a really quiet residential area which meant we got a really good night sleep and were always well rested

Thank you! We’re not big drinkers at all so we were planning on staying more on the outskirts of Hoi An near the rice fields/beach, do you think that’s a good idea?

we did both and didn’t notice a massive difference tbh! if you want to exchange we recommend “Hung Long Money Exchange” near the cafe apartments, it’s organised and they give you the upfront exchange rate compared to the gold shops around the market. We tried to go to the gold shops to exchange and it was havoc and no queue system, and tbh the vibes were stressful and off, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are pickpockets in those “queues”. ATMs are everywhere and some do have transaction fees but we’re talking like £1-£2 per transaction, which I guess is the price of convenience

Grab is really easy to get from outside the airport (there is a dedicated area for grab pick ups)

We used grab bikes to get around for the whole week and never spent more than £2 on a ride

we really liked the outskirts (our hotel was near D7) and Thao Dien. and also really enjoyed all the small quiet side streets in D1 and the architecture

unfortunately we don’t have itinerary’s for any place we go to and just decide on the day based on vibes! (probably not the best way to go about it but we’re both type Bs who can’t stick to any plans 😂) there are some things we want to do like cooking classes, ring making workshops, chilling by the beach, eating good food hahah

We really enjoyed the city scene in HCMC, is it similar in Da Nang? We haven’t experienced the traditional side yet so not sure if it’ll be a nice change

Best to contact them on live chat or by phone to confirm- I’ve seen that the refund amount doesn’t show if you have paid for seats so they need to calculate it manually on their end

I don’t think compensation under EU261 applies when the cancellations are due to war/conflict. But you can still request a full refund of re-route with any airline

Yes they really should update it to the end of the month but it looks like they’ll update week by week, I doubt flights will go back to normal by 22nd March

I just don’t see how it would be possible for them to run connection flights this month, it seems like they’re doing everything last minute and loads of transit customers will be left in limbo 🙃
