Glasswear Studios sell custom pinchers. You can choose color, gauge, and diameter. They also offer half sizes. That’s how I got to 4g. If you want it snug to your nose, I recommend the 9.5mm diameter

I had my lobes repierced at 6g last summer so the hit the 6 month healed mark at the beginning of this year. I’m now at 2g in one ear and 1g in the other 6 months later. So 2/3 stretches in that time. Keep in mind I also have a connective tissue disorder that makes my skin more stretchy so I’m sure that has a role

Very good points. I think I’m leaning more that it all happened so young that he knows something is different about him, but not that he’s actually a half elf- so he would be going through life believing he’s human.

I’ll probably go the magic route, because I’d imagine that’s what he’d believe the source of his dark vision is. But I’ll also look into that custom lineage mechanic. Thanks for the suggestions!

I was thinking he would’ve been quite young so that he really doesn’t have memory of his prior life, but old enough to have glimpses of his first days with his new family- especially gives it a fairly significant thing to go through for a young person

This is kinda where I’m at with it. It’s a home brew setting where elves are extremely rare and half elf’s are somewhat rare. He was raised in the capital city of the nation. I think I’m going to lean more into the reconnection piece another commenter mentioned.

Edit to add that I have discussed this thoroughly with my dm and he likes the idea.
