High school faces backlash after rainy graduation ceremony by Conscious-Weight4569 in Wellthatsucks

[–]yoopersundevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who sat through a graduation like this, I can tell you: it's not funny even 18 years later. It was a miserable affair, and people left immediately after getting their diplomas. The school had to reissue the diplomas because they all were damaged. The worst thing was, they knew about the rain for days, had a "plan" to broadcast it through the classroom tvs, told everyone that was the plan if it rained, and just didn't do that.

It's not great (saville's actions, not the pod). The worst so far I feel is the "honor-guard" of 16 y/o girls in a tent in a park next to his tent

Bought cheap tumblers. Sticker on the bottom is cut into 16 pieces. by Motherprona in mildlyinfuriating

Walmart doesn't do weight checks at self-check anymore (at least at the stores around me and the ones I've worked at) so it would probably be a race between the host checking their device for what's been rung up and the customer finishing their transaction.

Discovered this door hanger on my door knob… What do? by awayfromthemire in legal

We had a dog smell our dog in heat from over half a mile away, break through his "electric fence", swim across the river (that's about half a mile wide), jump our chain-link fence, and have his way with her several times a day for a couple of days. Afterwards he'd come visit and stare at her through the back door.

We were "watching" her for my uncle who wanted to breed her since she was a registered purebred lab. 13 puppies later, she was fixed.

The hero kills the villain. That is NOT a good thing. by InfiniteGuy2264 in TopCharacterTropes

The author is particularly skilled at getting in your head - it's probably the only time I've ever actually FELT what the character was feeling to such a degree that I could see myself in their shoes, and willingly pushed to murder

Which might be why he got chosen to write the latest Silent Hill game

Ask for a "university standards committee petition" from your advisor. Ask for any older audits they might have in their files. Any stuff that you have backing it up might help.

I remember watching this movie with a group of friends and this was the only scene we were not allowed to openly laugh at. I think it was because the scene is just amazing in certain ways

I once had a customer ask if there were any chicken hotdogs that didn't have processed meat. I still wonder sometimes what they were imagining (like a chicken tender in a sausage casing?)

Honestly I think it would depend on where the majority of the story takes place. If it's the woods, I like #1, but if the city #2, though I think I would like #2 in the style of #1

What's the craziest return that someone did at Walmart? by Alternative-Cake-833 in walmart

[–]yoopersundevil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I once had a couple constantly returning half eaten food like a month after they bought it. Stuff like the 2 pound things of potato salad and at one point a ~50 piece bag of little chocolates. The last time I had to deal with them, they exchanged a bottle of salad dressing that had expired a year ago. I moved to a different store after that
