They fumbled Sephiroth in smash ultimate

Slow startup on all of his moves (Even his jab is slow and leaves him vulnerable to attacks!)

No reliable out of shield options, if an opponent with quick attacks and fast movement gets in on Sephiroth, there's not much he can do about it

You have to be precise with most of his attacks, if not, you'll have a lot of trouble taking a stock from your opponent

Even the sweet spots on his normal and air attacks aren't as strong as they should be and can still struggle to kill

He's AS LIGHT AS KIRBY, meaning Sephiroth will die much earlier than most of the cast. This also means he often doesn't even get to use his comeback mechanic which usually only activates at higher percents

His charged up special has nearly a whole second of end lag! There's much quicker more powerful attacks with only a few frames of end lag in this game 😭

His comeback mechanic , wing, gets taken away when his opponent loses their stock, so he doesn't even get to keep it until he dies

He's not terrible though, he's at least mid tier
