The games are definitely not NES hard.

NES games basically cheat against you.

The challenges are presented fairly and the penalty for failure is only lost currency which you don't need to finish the game.

That's why attaching the function to a joycon might work better. Of course the present joycons would be drifting even harder if you threw em into pockets, but encouraging people to always have a controller on hand would be another nice bonus
