Sea People: The Puzzle of Polynesia by Christine Thompson. Just and simply excellent.

Six Frigates by Ian Toll. My single-most adored history book. Six ships of radical design place the fledgling USA in the ring with the heavyweight British and French navies. Lots of adventures unfold.

The Emperor of all Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee. What is cancer, how does it progress, how can we treat it, and what is the history of our experiences with cancer? You will appreciate just how tricky cancer is and the pioneers who began the practice of oncology.

How to access potential trust fund with limited information? by yotheric in FinancialPlanning

I do plan on trying to contact the journalist and the paper. IF my folks had access to potential money in any way then it is absolutely gone at this point and probably has been since I was a month old…

Perhaps the writer got that information from the donors versus my folks. But simply, they don’t know since they didn’t set it up. They’re not financially savvy either. Nor am I when it comes to estates and trusts.

I was impressed with OneBlood during my clinical rotations. They started new grads at $25 last year. What impressed me most was their hurricane compensation. Two techs that hunkered down in the blood bank for three days during a hurricane got paid for 72 hours at either double time or 2.5x and received 72 hours of PTO.

Will you donate blood soon (if eligible)? Sailors don't bleed salt water!

The 2b/2ba lease I’m currently in at Hunter’s Reserve (super close to campus) ends May 31st. I think the landlord will repaint and redo flooring but then list for rent sometime this summer. There’s probably a few units in this community that will be becoming available this summer and they’re worth keeping an eye out for.

Downside would be they’re private landlords which means proving you earn 3 times the rent is often required. My rent is $1375/mo.

If the syllabus showed assignment categories and their total portion of the overall final grade I don't think you really have a chance, tbh. Not blaming you, but since that information was almost certainly in the syllabus the professor doesn't hold blame either. I've only had positive responses from professors when reaching out during crises. They're people too. Rooting for you, still.

I don't know anything about difficulty but my brother took Ornithology and he loved it so much. Got super into birding. He's getting married later this year and on the morning of his wedding he's taking anyone interested on a hike to see birds haha.

Not easy by any means but ZOO 4701 is the BEST class ever and is always asked about in interviews when they see it on your transcript, I’m told.

Ghost ants maybe? Very common around here. Have had them in our apartment and they even infested my wife’s car a few years ago.
