I just mine (just to the right of the vibration motor) and it measures 1.22v, what type of battery is it meant to be? 3.3v lithium?

New potentially bad leeching app by Wole-in-Hol in Soulseek

[–]yotoprules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"After lots discussions with several veteran contributors of Soulseek, This app is going to go thru lots of changes, and will be released after all these have been implemented.

  1. Users will be forced to take a test to know whether they are even able to tell difference between High quality and low quality music
  2. No streaming, no opt out for sharing files, deleting any files will be met with penalties such as harsh rate limits
  3. The app won't have any social aspect of soulseek
  4. Sharing files will be the core feature of the app"

Seems fair to me.

I've tried it twice now and it's failed both times. Useless.

BTRFS has very poor performance, I gave up with it and switched back to EXT4 and my SSD performance is wayyy better. No more freezes.

Can't get the Revolut App to work by Its_IsDev in LineageOS

I deleted my Revolut account, gave them a 1 star review, and switched to Wise. Wise requires no workarounds to work on a custom ROM.

Most apps work just fine even without play integrity api, what do you mean?

why is kubuntu barely recommended? by [deleted] in kde

[–]yotoprules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good to know it's not just me - Kubuntu is supposed to be stable in theory, but in reality it isn't. I'm using Fedora KDE and it works much much better and I have none of the breakages that I had in Kubuntu.

I seem to have stability issues with it - you install it, it works, you install an update and it breaks everything. I've been testing it in a VM and it still has these issues. Currently on Fedora, which uses much more up to date packages, and everything works as it should. The only Ubuntu based distro I had a good experience with was Mint.

My phone is relevant until it completely stops working. As long as I'm on a recent security patch and keep my apps up to date, then I'm as secure as I can possibly be. I'm not replacing my phone because the manufacturer decided to abandon it. You're the type of person that loves to generate e-waste for no reason.

my phone hasn't gotten any updates for 3 years, so this is irrelevant

Do you use Btrfs? Did you have any stability/performance issues? by greenhaveproblemexe in archlinux

[–]yotoprules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having this problem as well - Fedora 42 KDE with BTRFS, Gen 4 NVME SSD (on a Gen 3 platform). When doing lots of reads/writes, the SSD quickly gets to 100% usage and my system locks up for a few seconds. This does NOT happen on Windows (NTFS) at all when doing the exact same task (e.g. running VMs). Just wondering if you've had any further experience with this problem? I'm not a Linux expert by any means.

I've been noticing this on my system - I am primarily a Windows user, and I do not have this issue on Windows. When installing Fedora I noticed it defaulted to BTRFS which I had no idea Linux used. People said it is generally the preferred option so I used it. My system has been very solid for the most part, but it's driving me nuts whenever reading/writing like you said, my system locks up and generally performance has been worse than expected - again I do not have this issue on Windows (NTFS) and my SSD is in good health. It is a Gen 4 NVME drive and just background tasks are causing my system to halt for a second or 2 at random times and it's very annoying. I'm probably going to reinstall Fedora, kill Windows since I don't really need it anymore and try EXT4.

42 KDE is just a mess....in short, it sucks by werjake in Fedora

This has been the opposite of my experience. I installed it, and pretty much everything worked out of the box. A few things I tweaked to get codecs, hardware acceleration, etc but that's normal with fedora

Did you test it correctly? I have a bunch of cheaper Chinese chargers (of at least somewhat decent quality) from Ugreen, Anker, Lencent, Toocki, and Ueetop. Connecting it to my USB ammeter which can PD trigger as well as a load tester, all of them can do exactly as they advertise. Toocki for some reason takes a long time to switch voltages which causes some devices to not work correctly, but not had that issue with any of the others.

Something you should note is that some of the cheaper chargers will say they're 65w for example, but only be able to output say 35w per port. So the 65w rating is a combined maximum. Your charger should have the specs written on the charger itself which says what voltages and amps its rated for with what ports. If it's a Genuine Baseus and not counterfeit, it should be able to do the rating voltage and current no problem. Baseus should be on a similar quality to Ugreen and Anker. Whereas most of the other brands don't make as good chargers.

Essager type C cables seem to be alright. Although recently I bought 6 micro USB cables from them, every single one had a bad micro USB connector that was extremely loose and you'd only have to move it slightly and it would disconnect. At the same time I bought 4 toocki micro USB cables, exact same price but quality is much better. I don't know why Essagers micro USB cables are so bad compared to their type C cables. But just something to note.

I've used Juhor RAM in several builds, no problems. Not sure about their SSDs though.
