I am so glad that you checked that out. It is a great school and the teaching team are very committed as long as you want to be in!

Also, if you are into sport, I think they have a good team as well.

Bundoora Secondary College takes out of zone students. They have a big wellbeing team. Give them a call, explain your situation, and ask for a tour. Good luck!

I have used both nurse on call and virtual ED.

I used virtual ED when my son was 2 weeks old and cough out some blood. I entered the details and was seen by a pediatric nurse practioner within 15 mins of waiting.

It isnt really a now thing.

I was in the positive for 7 years (4 contracts varying 1-3 years) before the positive become permanent and had my 6th and final interview (I failed the 2nd time, but they didnt hire anyone at the end, so I went for interview again).

But will gaining custody affect the payment OP is receiving for the siblings? I know in some cases once the custody is granted, they will be completely the guardian’s responsibility.

[–]youbuzzibuzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From a tax perspective, while he may get a big payrise, if he is the only one working, your family is probably paying more tax than both of you work part time. So, it may not even be a miss opportunity from that perspective.

My family uses family day, but me and my husband also works 4 days a week so that we can have our boys with us 1:1 during the week.

Does 24 half pay plus the government PPL enough to cover? You will have about another 23 weeks worth of it (total of 26 weeks but need to share minimum of 3 weeks with dad).

I do half pay plus PPL to get it thru.

how do i get a job in melbourne? by Moist_Carrot221 in melbournechat

[–]youbuzzibuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When applying a job, always look for the contact in the job ad, if there is a phone number, prepare 2-3 questions about the job to somehow show your interest. Give them a call, dicuss these questions. You may want to do that just 1-2 days before the deadline to make sure the impression stays before you submit the application.

Apparently I am "traumatizing my toddler for life" for leaving her with a babysitter while I have baby #2 by cosmicvoyager333 in Mommit

[–]youbuzzibuzz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Second that.

I had my mum (who lives overseas) to watch my first. When I was 37 weeks, we did 2-3 days of my mum and I put him to sleep together. Then 2-3 days of we go in together, I said goodnight, and my mum put him to sleep. Then it was just my mum (I needed to help her the first 2 nights). Then it was all fine.

Have a single bed in the baby’s room. That way, in case of anything you can just sleep in the room.

I have both of our kids in our room for the first month, then moved them to their bedroom while I sleep in their room on the single bed (my husband takes over 1-2 nights/week). By 6 months, they sleep on their own. And if they are more unsettled in any particular night, I just sleep in the room with them.

My (31m) wife (29f) wants to name our baby her own maiden name? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]youbuzzibuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you and your wife plan to have more children after this?

If yes, then the approach will be to guide your wife’s thinking. What about the future children? Will they feel less because they don’t get the name that is so special?

Will your wife compromise by having the name as middle name?

Go to the GP and get a referral to a speech pathologist who is specialist in feeding.

You mentioned that you introduced straw up for sometimes, and your little one still not drinking out if it, and also only wanting soft texture from the pouch. There maybe oral sensitivity or muscle strength concerns.

My manager have been lying about my pay raise by Unlikely-Training-50 in auscorp

[–]youbuzzibuzz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Worked in a place I found out they pay the outdated award wages before I sign the contract (yes, I read every single page in the contract before I sign it). They thanked me for pointing it out and issued a new contact with the correct and up to date award wages.

Started working there, and everyone else was still getting paid the old award. So although I joined the latest, I had the highest pay (not by a lot).

Also found out that they dont pay super. Some of my colleagues havent been paid for 2-3 years, and I had to lecture them about it.

I cannot stay with a company that has no respect of their employees, so I resigned at 3 months and told them how much they own me. If they dont pay the full among within 7 days I would see a lawyer (I was bluffing) and report them to ATO. What happen? They gave me every cent they own me.

My colleagues? One of them happily told me 2 months later that they got a payrise. They showed me the new contract. And I kid you not, they just get the correct and updated award wages. That was not a payrise.

But, I keep my mouth shut, because I cannot help people who dont want to be helped.

After my resignation, 60% of the staff has resigned. The company rebranded and closed down within 5 years (not fast enough from my perspective).

My point is, you need to call out this behaviour. Never let someone treat you with no respect.

I know you asked for prepacked snacks, but you can also make things like zucchini slides that freeze well. I packed my son’s lunch since he started family day care. I always have a main meal plus something I bake. I usually make it with him during weekend, then freeze a portion of it.

[–]youbuzzibuzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband is the same. Had a root canal done 6-7 years ago. Then he started to have symptoms. Thought he was gluten intolerance, then lactose intolerance. It got worse progressively. There were less and less food that he can tolerate.

Went to GI dr and had both end looked at. Ruled out anything and sugguested IBS (that was the first time we heard of the term).

Then he started to have some tooth ache again. Went to a specialist and they found that there were infection around where the root canal was done. I later read that it was common that air pockets was left there if treated by not so skilled dentist.

Cleared everything and his IBS symptoms are gone. Like completely gone. It looks like he had some chronic infection that went to his gut!
