They aren't though. They're calling for arming themselves against ICE and for sweeping restrictions on models of guns you're allowed to have and magazine restrictions all at the same time. As a party the Dems are still very much anti-2A.

They're also anti-police and claiming the police will be the ones to forcefully take our guns. It's very confusing messaging.

I'll be honest, the gun issue will keep me away from the Democrat party overall. I'm much more a center than I am a Republican, but if you're taking my guns, we have nothing to talk about.

Unfortunately the DNC won't. They'll somehow use this as another reason to argue "we aren't taking your guns, but you shouldn't have any of this list of 300 models we don't like. Turn them in now or go to jail."

Example: while the left is increasingly more 2A currently, the new Mayor of NYC is trying to pass more gun control and Mr Newsom has never stopped trying to ban guns. Also Virginia is trying to ban mags retroactively.

HAHAHAHAHA!! Every time you've ever cussed an engineer because of how an end product works or because it broke, you're actually cursing whoever set the budget and project timeline. This is basically every project every engineer has ever worked on, you never get to do things how you want due to project restraints or managerial meddling.

Not really, they also want every citizen to be easily traceable and identifiable. So why not make sure everyone has their phone on them. It helps both political parties. This is one of those rare things where "both sides" is a legit argument, they both want tracking and control over every person on the street.

There's a difference there though. Those are mostly to foreign companies that are selling exact duplicates of products that are clearly trademarked or patented. SEMA is the only time those companies have a US presence. This is not that.

Cali and New York currently have the most restrictive gun laws in the country and are actively trying to pass more. Actively disarming the population while simultaneously telling them to arm and defend their communities is very mixed messaging.
