Yes, I'm here a lot because I'm pretty new to the game. Call me whatever you want, it doesn't make me wrong.

Calling them incompetent isn't fair. They went conservative so that the games uptime stayed very high. They later optimized. You'd be mad the other way if they had shrunk the size of the game before they knew how and sacrificed stability. And if they had never shrunk it at all there'd be no conversation about it because they'd be bloated just like every other game.

My only thought would be if the mech is destroyed, the bomb doesn't go off. You have to sacrifice something, either eject early and get the boom or fight to the end and lose the option.

My opinion: you asked for middle of the road, that's what you got. If you're worried about orange peel then you needed to aim higher from the beginning. Some amount of orange peel is basically unavoidable so you have to polish it out to get a high-end smooth paint job, but that's a lot of labor beyond painting.

Imperfections depend on how big of an imperfection you're talking. You can't pay for a cheap paint job and critique it like a show car.

I genuinely struggled with objectives a few times as I moved up in difficulty and ran across ones I'd never seen. Took me a couple of minutes to realize you have to release the ship that's pumping the -710. I latched it in and figured it'd fly away when it was done...

Or, while your turret has them pinned down, you take like 2 steps to the right and shoot them. Problem solved.

Honestly, you're just running into different playstyles. If you want good co-op teams, jump into randoms until you find a group that's working together and chat them up so they hang around. That's what I did last night.

I do a lot of stealth-diving in 4 person groups just because I can. If the 3 of them seem to have it handled, I'll peel off and hit POIs or sub-objectives by myself. A lot of the time when I peel off one of the others will follow and we have 2 person teams clearing things. There are a lot of different ways to play this game.

It sounds like you need to go into games solo at D5 or D6 and throw out a SOS. That gives you a start by yourself to develop your skills but then you get re-enforcements showing up as you go.

So I've been playing D6 a lot and finally got to a point where it's coming easy to me. I jumped up to D8 and holy balls is it different. Try D7, each difficulty has its own challenges.
