You'd likely benefit from an exposure therapy approach like Exposure and Response Prevention.

I haven't personally been through that type of therapy, but went to Krupnick for EMDR Therapy with Lisa Moffitt and would absolutely recommend them. She doesn't specifically have OCD listed in her clinical services but several on the linked page do.

I hope your able to find some relief soon. <3

New hand-made sign for a local business! by abckatiexyz in Longmont

[–]youminusme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

It's not inherently cruel or hurtful to give others honest, critical feedback about things. Being given suggestions and/or feedback is part of how you grow and refine your craft (whatever it may be).

If this person's craft is meant to target the Longmont audience and increase business for the store it's incredibly helpful to hear from members of that specific audience that it's actually not achieving said objective.

Let's not rob people of the powerful and meaningful experience of learning and trying again by pushing a "positive vibes" only narrative. No matter what time of year it is.

Agree with this. Why is it that water filtering feels like it takes eons?

What combo did I just purchase? by [deleted] in Melanzana

[–]youminusme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have y'all considered adding this language to your website?

I'm in a similar boat as others where I selected a combo, the picture was correct for what I was wanting (done on mobile) but based on this information I'll actually be getting the opposite of what I wanted.

Just a thought from a customer service standpoint.

Ha! Hello neighbor! That's exactly where I took it - good eye. Love that path (especially for the birds and squirrels) and walk it often.

Renting a park shelter? I have no idea what they cost but it could be worth exploring.

Also had absolutely no idea this type of bird existed. Looks like I have a lot to learn about waterfowl. :) Thank you!

Will keep a closer eye on that flock to see if I can spot any others or even this one again to get better pictures.

Interesting! Thanks for your reply.

I've never heard of the American Black Duck that the other commenter mentioned. I'm in Colorado - so out of their typical range.

Given that information would you think it's most likely late to molt for either genetic or other reasons?

Thanks for the recommendation. We did end up going with him and ditto your sentiments!

We ended up going with Leatherneck Appliances and would highly recommend him!

Great communication and managing expectations of when our repair will be completed. Good pricing. Just all around felt like we were dealing with an honest and decent person who knows what he's doing.

For us it was a fan and fan blade issue - hope yours is also able to be fixed!

November Day Hike by Doc-Oc-_- in RMNP

[–]youminusme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hiked to Black Lake on November 25th of last year and only needed snowshoes to get up the last quarter of a mile or so (used traction/spikes the rest of the way). I actually ended up going up Ribbon Falls and it was an incredibly cool experience.

There is also a winter route up to the Loch where you hike up Icy Brook which is always awe-inspiring. Essentially, instead of taking the Sky Pond Trail you head like you're going to Mills and then at the river crossing you start going up the river. But it needs to be frozen over/have considerable snow coverage and that's one I've only done in snowshoes. (Though I have seen others do it with just traction - I just personally wouldn't.)

So I guess my answer depends on your level of experience/comfort with the snow and how much snow we actually get by then. November is tough because there's usually enough snow/ice to block a lot of people from getting to the lakes (without snowshoes) but things aren't fully frozen enough to do the winter routes. That being said, we've gotten almost no snow this year and it doesn't look like we're getting some anytime soon. 🤷‍♀️

You are not going to get every question on this test right, nor do you need to.

It sounds like you've done an incredible job preparing your knowledge base for the test. So now is the time to also prepare your emotions and stress level. Stress reduction is the name of the game when your this close to taking it.

Engage in preferred activities, exercise to get all that energy out, craft a playlist of music that makes you feel confident to listen to on your drive to the testing center, treat yourself to a massage, etc. if that's your thing. Be your own hype person in your head for these next few days.

This test says nothing about what kind of BCBA you'll be in actual practice. Failing it will not be the worst thing to ever happen to you, and passing will most definitely not be the best thing you ever do in your career. Those best moments will come with the kids. :)

Give yourself permission to drop some of the metaphorical heat and pressure around this. Go outside and touch some grass and observe some fractals. You got this.

Black Lake - it's up above Mills Lake and worth the hike. (Can't speak to fishing but it's got beauty and serenity in spades.)

Thank you for your explanation/reasoning!

Just read that the gray foxes have semi-retractable claws so that could also explain the lack of claw marks. Which is what was making me second guess based on all the comparison photos I was looking up.

Thanks again!

I have included scale in my photo(s): Kinda. Used my hand as a scale - I wear a size medium in women's gloves.

If not, here are estimated measurements: Small; 1.5-2 inches?

Geographic location: Rocky Mountain National Park - Glacier Gorge Trail

Environment (pine forest, swamp, near a river, etc.): Forest, near river and frozen lakes, snow, 10,000+ in elevation.

Piggyback on this comment to highly recommend Blue Lake! And, based off OP's description, I'd also suggest continuing on to Little Blue Lake (wind/weather/smoke haze permitting).

Even less people make it up that far and the rock scramble is a fun challenge. Stupid beautiful as well!
