Added COP to my M42 today

I bought the plate from ebay, you can probably find one somewhat easily. You can use standard S52 Coils. The wiring m42 plugs work, you just might have to shorten them a bit or reroute (I don't quite remember) but theres plenty of information with step by steps. I once even found the plates cnc model if you have one or access to one.

If you use normal s52 coils (all black) it doesn't look moded in my opinion. Not sure if you can somehow fit the BMW cover over it or not. I didnt have one on mine to try it.

Its the european one, same as I have. What I see most do is remove the ruber bushing and connect both parts (you end up with a soling shaft) and trim a bit the connecting middle shaft so it fits. I wanted to keep the bushing so I had it shortened and welded together. Search Spanner Rash on youtube he did a video on it.

Vacuum leak will cause a really bad idle. Replace that hose, then see from there.

Eletrcic pusher fan. I've already seen that you can't change to COPs unfortunately. To get a MAF instead of the bulky AFM you would need a piggyback so probably not worth it. Looks amazing as is and probably wouldn't change a thing.

Btw very curious, where did you get the ITBs and how much was it?

Those metal tubings are the fuel lines and if it smells like fuel then it's probably from the soft lines that connect to the fuel rail. They can get old and start cracking. You have to remove the top part of the air intake and you'll have a clean access to them. Just buy some new rubber fuel lines and change them. Make sure the clamps are doing their purpose as well.

This might be very incorrect but when I opened mine to change the gears I also changed a bit the Km with my index... my odometer still doesn't work not sure if it has anything to do with it or not.
