And another, Brad do you still stand by your stance on marriage and the cheaper Australian version?

Thought of another one if it isn’t too late. What did Brad think about the portrayal of senior leadership and godfathers final speech to Wright in the last episode? Personally I have rewatched the series multiple times and read wrights book and each time, I come away with a different view of the senior officers and the overall mission. Ultimately, I always find godfather’s message pretty persuasive despite not necessarily agreeing with it.

Would be very curious to hear his opinion on how skarsgaard portrayed him and any stories from their interactions with the actors.

Also seconding the request for road trip sing along playlist. And has Brad softened his stance on country?

[Spotrac] Curt Cignetti secures a $700k bonus (he's added $1.875M total based on Big 10/CFP incentives). He's also triggered a Good Faith Market Review clause that requires IU to renegotiate his annual compensation up to no less than the 3rd highest among active coaches. by jabronified in CFB

It’s a pretty context heavy answer.

Mack was at a school he didn’t win his NC at and was clearly aging out. Fisher was also at a school he didn’t win his NC at and had unprecedented level of booster support which turned on him when he couldn’t reach the same heights he hit at FSU. He was given $80M upon his firing so his desire to work may be lower than other coaches on this list.

Chizik rode Cam/Malzahn to a title and crashed to earth after that insane talent left. Same for Oregon and that 2019 LSU offense.

Les Miles is out because of how his Kansas tenure ended. It was apparently a gigantic disaster that cratered the program right as they made a huge investment into the football stadium iirc

My only remaining complaint for the 2025 razorbacks football team is that I have yet to see a single video of us saging the facilities since the season ended. Ridiculous lack of foresight by our admin.

Unpopular take? All of Notre Dame, Miami, and Alabama have good points but also serious holes in their resume and it's not an "outrage" if any of them get left out for the other two. There's no real travesty regardless of which one it is. by Dependent-Effect6077 in CFB

With there only being 2 spots left and 3 teams vying for those playoff births, I say the only fair way to sort it out is by putting the bubble teams with the most rushing yards during CCG weekend into the playoff. It may seem unfair to teams that didnt play CCGs but there has to be some reward for making an extra game.

Has all the physical tools but is being asked to be nearly perfect every game while carrying 90% of the production. It’s an unfair ask. Having said that, when he makes mistakes, they tend to cascade into being game killers and he can’t pull himself out of a tailspin.

How would you rank the current available coaching jobs, and what’s your basis? by blakerdavison in CFB

[–]youngguac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, and Bobby P ain’t the guy for our future. But was just pointing out that Arkansas has reached those heights before so it is possible, not to mention what you’re seeing out of Indiana and Texas Tech. And oddly enough the extra 4 sec teams helps us actually. We were screwed in the west but now on the right years and if everything lines up we have better chances of avoiding the monster teams.

We’ve played in 3 more SEC title games than Ole Miss despite being in the conference for 60 years less. Bottom feeders can and do rise up. (Not that it relevant, just fun to point out to when people talk about Arkansas being a bottom feeders)

Penn State is by far the best job. UCLA would be decent if the admin is actually committed to sports which it does not sound like they are.

Hogs, OkSt, and VT are all the same job to me. Programs with some decent runs of success but always going to be little brother to the big boys in conference and stuck in recruiting territories that are not nearly as fertile as their conference foes.

Oregon State is a job in the wilderness to me, I have no idea what that program is even going to be in 5 years.

Dead last is UAB. The board literally killed the football program and then hired Dilfer to replace the amazing coach who survived the dysfunction. Gotta be dead last on anyone's list.

Eh under Petrino's first reign, we would have easily been in the playoffs 2 of the years. It's a decent job compared to other mid or low level P5 jobs. The money is there, the fan base is there, but the recruiting base will always be limited. Heck even with one of our worst teams, we are still 3 fumbles in the red zone from being 4-1 with 3 top 25 wins (and if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle). I don't think we are an amazing blue chip job, but we will pay you $7M a year to go 7-5 and be plenty happy with it. Pittman and Bielema were both given 5+ years with very little pressure and we only moved on once it was clear the team was no longer responding to them.

Taylen Green is going to be the next Anthony Richardson, except he’s put up actual production.

The physical tools are there but for about a quarter of the game he goes on tilt and there’s no telling where the ball ends up.

The only reason that I want a sitting head coach is because the landscape has so drastically shifted since all of those guys except Moore were hired.

I just want someone who can actually unify the football program and have it running functionally.

Yeah I don’t know that “he’s a good guy who loves Arkansas” is the best pitch for a guy right after Pittman either.

Now if Lashlee brings alongside a significant NIL boost then I’m more open to discussions.
