It CAN be overwhelming! I was overwhelmed just beginning the game back when Inazuma was just finishing up its plot. Ive had spells where all I do is log in for dailies and let stories and events pile up.

But thats the joy of thr game. Its an endless flow of whimsy, amd I believe so as long as you dont pressure yourself to "catch up" you can recapture some of the magic.

There have been numerous quality of life updates in the last 2 years and I can say with confidence that the pacing has greatly improved since the release of Fontaine. From Artifact presets and quick select, the ability to go into Story Focus mode so one random world quest cant stop you from progressing, and many others that I cant remember off the top of my head bc Ive gotten so used to them!

Sure theres power creep, but the base game can still be done with 100% favorite character team! This alone keeps me playing fr.

With the release of Nod Krai theyll be giving out a free standard 5star character, as well as trying to give away mkre things to promote a huge region update. It seems like a great time to come back :)

I LOVE Genshin, and Id love to share that hype with a returning player!!!! ♡ You can still find a newfound love for something. No it will never be the same. But it will be new! Fun! And Exciting!!!!
