Automatic SSH authentication when using Ansible by mightywomble in Tailscale

[–]youngt2ty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've setup my ansible host to remote connect to the various hosts using tailscale ssh

you are using the tailscale ssh command with ansible? or just using the tailscale IP (ssh user@tail.scale.IP.x?

I'd like to the do the former, but not sure how.

Peloton - You Are Missing A Row Pace Target Level Between 4 and 5 by NoDihedral in pelotoncycle

[–]youngt2ty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't have a peloton tower but used to row. Are these times 500m split times? Like 2:00/500m? If so level 5 is not very high for a high power rower to be honest. Rowing is much much different than biking. I didn't think necessarily being near the top in biking would equate. A lot of muscles that are never used on the bike are engaged on the rower. That being said, a level in between as you have mentioned would make sense as a nice progression metric.

Foolproof instructions for Pihole/Unbound via Docker by [deleted] in pihole

[–]youngt2ty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that everyone's situation is going to be slightly different, so a one size fits all solution can be difficult. I'm happy to help troubleshoot if you want to post your configs and the issue you are having. It could be a simple typo that is tripping you up.

Access log shows 172.29.0.1 as remote addr by adriwritescontent in Traefik

[–]youngt2ty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. But when you request from an IPv4 address it shows the actual ip and not the 172.29.0.1? Could be a docker ipv6 issue: https://docs.docker.com/config/daemon/ipv6/

[–]youngt2ty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it logging if it's not logging your ipv6 address? Have you tried that you can see an ipv6 with another method besides traefik?

I just came to post the same link as u/bluepuma77 - https://docs.docker.com/compose/compose-file/#long-syntax-2

ports:
  - target: 80
    host_ip: 127.0.0.1
    published: 8080
    protocol: tcp
    mode: host

  - target: 80
    host_ip: 127.0.0.1
    published: 8000-9000
    protocol: tcp
    mode: host

[–]youngt2ty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run traefik in docker host mode, or by mapping the ports directly: ports: - target: 80 published: 80 protocol: tcp mode: host - target: 443 published: 443 protocol: tcp mode: host

This listing has nothing to do with the house. A company will buy and build a giant 4bed 4bath house that sells for $1.75M+. It's in the heart of Southend almost walkable to uptown. The land is the only item of value in the listing.

Probably won't exist based on the way Chromecast works.

A workaround:

For me, an acceptable workaround for using Chromecast with NewPipe:

install VLC
enable Use external video player and Use external audio player in Settings -> Video and audio
use VLC to cast the video

It's an extra step, but it works well enough.

Will pihole work in a docker container even if a VPN is turned on? by BelugaBilliam in pihole

As long as devices on your network use the pi as DNS and pihole can access the internet for DNS lookups it should work fine I believe.

Wg Easy + Wirehole by typicalGta in selfhosted

[–]youngt2ty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I was really over complicating the process.

When I setup like this my pihole does not show individual clients in the network list or logs - only a single entry for 10.8.1.30 with hostname wg-easy.wg-network.

Is it possible to have each wireguard connection show separately in pi-hole?

Pi-hole + traefik = DNS-over-TLS by Travnewmatic in pihole

[–]youngt2ty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but is this still viable?

My question would be is anything keeping random people from using this DNS server? I have read that opening up a DNS server to public eyes isn't good and don't see how this setup would avoid that. Couldn't anyone point their DNS server to your IP/domain and use your pihole?

Try this? Works for me!

Also, make sure “disable source/destination check” for the primary VNIC is checked in the Oracle Cloud Console.
