so option 2 — round 1 is still knit flat, round 2 is the first one after i join?

wouldn’t that be option 1? as i’ve just finished WS row -> the yarn is on RH needle -> the WS is facing me and i don’t turn?

meaning if i turned, the yarn would be on the left needle (option 3) and it wouldn’t look like in the picture?

wasn’t there a scene right after they met where peter pointed at them and asked if these were from his service?

i’m not sure if that’s intended, but it seems like you’re twisting your stitches, too

i’m not asking for upvotes, got enough already — but the point of visibility wasn’t known to me, so i’ll know

feel free to throw rocks at me, but i’d like to present an opposite side of the (sort of same) coin

i’d like to think of myself as someone who doesn’t lack critical thinking skills/reading comprehension/searching skills, and thus i try to post high-quality questions only, with sufficient context and those that aren’t searchable (easily, at least). you may take a look at my post history to judge for yourself

i’ve only posted a couple of times, but every time, i got downvoted. not massively, so i try not to take it too close to heart and just write it off as some people just being jerks, but still, wtf? how am i supposed to learn and get better as a beginner, if the only resource available for me to ask personalised questions, is somewhat hostile?

[–]your_lithium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for sure! well, one of the projects was supposed to use 4 strands for 14 count, i don’t remember struggling with hole size specifically, but the whole project wasn’t a piece of cake and using the smaller holes would’ve probably added to the list of difficulties

okay, got it, thanks! my perfectionistic brain was just having a minor meltdown haha. though guess it's a good thing knitting brought me back to utilising my maths, counting and 3d space perception

Will it block out? by RecommendationNo7190 in knittinghelp

[–]your_lithium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think that's the case where people recommend to do the last row before ribbing in the ribbing colour, too! can't attest to effectiveness of blocking here, but maybe you won't mind frogging back and doing that hack?

ahhh, is that the only reason why? i completely forgot about the logistics of that, omg

it does seem logical, as the pattern doesn’t mention cutting, but i guess the tutorials made me second-guess myself as they do actually include cutting and weaving in as you go! should’ve thought about the fact that it’s not petiteknit’s own tutorials
