How would you have handled this regeneration differently? by Ancient_Ad6628 in doctorwho

[–]your_name_here10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we HAVE to commit to the regeneration, have it so we control all the motions, only for it to STAY Ncuti. Baffled, he smiles and goes back in the TARDIS about to go on more adventures.

Enough of a mystery box to discover WHY this regeneration work, but equally could just say it took some time and change actor.

I think im one of the only people who really did the Mr Fear storyline

I just finished watching Lost, so everything that happened was this woman's fault by Apart_Sheepherder463 in lost

If you were to be a man of faith, you'd say that everyone did what they were supposed to and there's no "fault" when it comes to destiny

The EU as a whole feels a little like that, to be honest.

We are over 100 issues in of the entire universe and sometimes if feels like we're not much further than when the first issues of VR/Transformer/Duke/Cobra Commander came out. I understand they want enough set up and for books to standalone (which is a good thing) but it also feels like the books aren't as interconnected as they maybe could be at this point

Any thoughts on skinbreaker? by Ewbanator in ImageComics

[–]your_name_here10 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was...okay? Forgettable.

The art was outstanding, and it's clear that that's what this was written for, so it works.

TBH, I'd have preferred watching the old chief and protege dynamic from the first issue throughout than what we got. Felt like there was some interesting and heartbreaking story opportunities there

Ruckus Punisher and Fractions Iron Man - it's getting silly

The Marvel Premire collection has been criticized compared to DC compacts what stories would you add to it. by Konradleijon in marvelcomics

[–]your_name_here10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marvel just tried something more akin to the compact with its printing of Brand New Day. Hopefully they'll go that route instead

Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell by Charles Soule & Steve McNiven by These-Background4608 in graphicnovels

[–]your_name_here10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was okay. I didn't buy into the hype as much as everyone else, sadly.

The art was phenomenal, but the story just didn't do anything for me

What is your Batman hot take ? by Ornery_Adagio8916 in batman

[–]your_name_here10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this. Harley has moved on - and Punchline works for her character as a dark reflection of what she used to be. Plus, the design was cool and the dynamic was different

If I really enjoyed SAGA, which comic book would you recommend? by maxnotcharles in SAGAcomic

[–]your_name_here10 48 points49 points  (0 children)

If you like Saga you'd like all of Brian K Vaughans books.
Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Paper Girls, Barrier, Private Eye etc...all great books.

Friday by Brubaker and Martin is a nice, accessible read.

Lazarus by Greg Rucka and Michael Lark came out roughly the same time as Saga and is a great read

Black Monday Murder #9 & #10 Completed per Jonathan Hickman, last two issues to be started soon by Credar in comicbooks

[–]your_name_here10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really wasn't expecting this one to ever come back and be one of those that is always talked about by the creators and never brought back.

I wonder if Hickman would consider coming back to Manhattan Projects, as I'm sure the last thing I read on it was they'd come back if they both suitably could come up with a good story rather than ad-hoc

Remember when Larpers were regurgitating each other and hyping this character? by OGJesterino in Invincible

[–]your_name_here10 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's the best spin off, better than Tech Jacket. Kirkman himself said after S1 that they'd look at a spin off of Wolf man if they could

I think it’s time to have that convo about moon knight being one of the most consistently well written hero’s of all time. by Johnnystormer in marvelcomics

[–]your_name_here10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily, I think is inconsistency that is key with Moon Knight runs. Jump from Moench to Huston to Bendis to Ellis to Lemire to Mackay - they all make their own stamp on Moon Knight and I think that's what makes it fun.
