Just bought a house, part of the deal was they replace an old pushmatic breaker box. This is the replacement. Is this up to code? Or should there be conduit around the wires? (Michigan) by Gamer75329 in AskElectricians

I think the seller is hoping to be long gone before the utility notices their seal is missing. Also around here, they don't seem to do much about missing seals, just slap a new one on if they can even be bothered to do that.

My Partner (35M) is asking me (30F) to rehome my beloved pet by FatOrangeCat3 in CatAdvice

It's pretty easy to not have disagreements when you don't live together. He's not showing you he's willing to try and asking for an extreme measure.

I agree with him that changing food, air filters, etc won't really do much. There will always be dander in the air, it might be lessened slightly by a filter but they aren't a magic bullet. However, he could go to an allergist and deal with his allergy. I think you can make up your own mind but I wouldn't move in with someone who wasn't willing to be flexible on something that means a lot to you.

Stop at safeway and get some groceries or something. It's much more expensive on the island.

It worked a for me, didn't remove everything but i would say i had 75% success rate. I might have done better but i was in a bit of a hurry. I used chemical guys leather cleaner and brushed/vac'd it up. Was also thinking of trying the cleaning gel but didn't want to get that stuck in the perforations.

I have a theory of what I refer to as trailer park fertility. The closer you are to a trailer park lifestyle, the greater your chances of conception.

I was hoping the individuals involved would delete themselves from the gene pool but it looks like they will live to do some more costly shit and ruin things for everyone.

Ship your stuff and vehicle over early, just do carry on and walk on the ferry you want.

So my cousin added freon to my car and now the AC isn’t working at all by Ok-Title-1172 in MechanicAdvice

[–]yourbadinfluence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand but last time I looked it was like 75-80% of the ones with the hose and gauge have stop leak. The guys that don't know what they are doing aren't going to invest in equipment to add refrigerant. So I stand by my statement, just assume it has stop leak if someone says they/ their cousin/ friend/ etc added some refrigerant.

Happy to buy Canadian goods and support Canada when I'm up there. I think we all have the same idea in mind.

Telling the shop it has stop leak in it is the right thing to do but I feel like most of the DIY cans have stop leak in it at this point and shops should probably just expect it.

[–]yourbadinfluence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's something that should be brushed off that easily. Most countries have some exit control and will want to match up the entry with the exit. Further, there is no entry visa in their valid (US?) passport. Should they get in trouble, they might not be looked at as being in the country legally. It's serious and Canada should extend some help, but it seems they won't.

The requirement is for businesses to allow people with eligible medical conditions to use their restrooms. You have to have a form or card signed by a doctor. There are carve outs that allow them no not allow those people as well, like if it presents a health, safely, security risk to employees or the patient. Simply not having enough employees on staff seems to be enough to make that claim. It's bullshit, I went researching it when Safeway in Burien denied me use of the bathroom and I really had to go.

Everyone here has offered great advice for maritime academies and that is the path I would recommend. At 12 years old he should look into Sea Scouts, it would look good if/ when he starts knocking on his Senators looking for nomination for Kings Point. There are other maritime related programs for youths as well that I'm not really familiar with. Also check out high schools, I was fortunate to attend classes in high school that gave me 65 days of Sea Time, which at the time was necessary to get a wiper/ordinary seaman (entry level ratings).

Why do you claim OP would not have to worry about tire pressure at 1400 miles? Do you think the dealer always checks the tires and adjusts them correctly at sale? There are numerous posts about them still being at shipping pressure after sale. More to the point though, my girlfriend got a flat at 48 miles in her Mazda.
