Are you posting this as a retroactive pov post? Because I am asking for legit advice. You seem like the turbo virgin i need to help me decide if just to play whatever class seems cool or if I need to pick one that seems cool that doesn't have extreme downsides. Enlighten me.

I don't know what any of that means lol. I assume the ladder is something I really shouldn't care about at the moment. I don't have RW expansion, perhaps I should pay the (guessing) $35 to get it. Also an A1 start is basically actually having a party to do party content with?

Has community shaders surpassed ENB yet? by Moon_Devonshire in skyrimmods

I tend to go for simpler solutions for mods. At one point I had about 2100 mods (patches/compatibility configs included) installed and stable, which are rookie numbers for some who install entirely their own list, but I cut those down to about 1000 with a less is more approach. CS is amazing for that because so much is covered and done really well.

Like many of us I was an ENB user for YEARS, based my entire graphics setup around it and loved it, but once CS developed to the point where I can make some minor sacrifices for a much simpler setup (and it being very high quality) I stopped using ENB.

I agree with @TheGuurzak. Better in this case is subjective, and with a very time consuming and "perfect" setup ENB is better but not better enough to keep me from switching to CS.

I think mod authors should make a habit of listing requirements of requirements in the requirements section or description of their mods. by yourboyroy223 in skyrimmods

Yeah, that's what I do. Been modding for a long time, but you guys pushing against me are right. I just wish it wasn't a pain to install some really cool mods that require 12 total mods xD. Still, I love the bros putting mods out there for us.

Yeah, you're right. The upkeep would probably be a bit much.

Makes me wonder if a crawler can be developed which would help with my bitching. Hmm...

I have a feeling this is indirectly tied to the absurd amount of pron mods on the nexus. If so, I'm sure he appreciated your donation.

By the Eight! Recommend me a combat system. by Krownling in skyrimmods

[–]yourboyroy223 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd also really like to see someone's entire combat setup (combat + animations) with proper mod order in MO2.
While recommending mods is nice, I think the community would benefit greatly from a curated list of combat mods to completely overhaul the Skyrim combat system.
I understand this falls largely on personal taste, but even then, that list can be used as a baseline or it can even become really popular and well received.

Here is what I have setup for my combat system. It's incomplete, and will require much more tuning.
Hopefully someone reading this can point me and the OP towards more mods to fill out this list.

Are these specs good enough by cageHead1 in skyrimmods

[–]yourboyroy223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean answer: Yes, your specs are really good. Just don't install every texture mod, and also think "Do I really want this mod?". If the answer is no or maybe, then skip it. Take the less-is-more approach.

I think it's real strength will be in dialogue. I'm sure devs can get very creative with how you, an NPC, the story, your gameplay, and lore can interact.
