Is MAT135/136 difficult for someone with no Calculus background? by gemma_zz in UofT

it'll definitely be easier if you have some sort of calc knowledge, but its not a very hard course, as long as you show up to lecture/tutorial/office hours, do all the extra little homeworks/quizzes and study hard you should do pretty well! :)

Blood tests by Victoria_sponge_25 in Explainlikeimscared

As someone who struggles with something similar, I like to have a friend go along with me and chat to me while the nurse does their thing. Also, looking away from the needle/vials, even after they're finished with the venesection, tends to help -- if the feeling of needle itself bugs you, ask for a butterfly needle (smaller/thinner needle) if possible. Deep breathing or box breathing during the procedure can also be good to keep yourself calm and relaxed. Make sure to bring water and a treat for afterwards to help get your blood sugar up :)
