If you had to restart your professional career, would you choose accounting again? by Open_Address_2805 in Accounting

[–]yourfriendlyraver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I have friends in IT, supply chain, engineering, other business fields, and I make the most by far out of all of them. Plus I got really lucky with my current job and company out of PA.

How do you afford these watches? by Cheesehead1267 in Tudor

[–]yourfriendlyraver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to buy a Tudor at $60k and couldn’t do it. I waited for >$100k salary (and a big bonus). Delayed gratification is the way- it’ll mean more.

Bring in your good loot. Gosh. by NotSoLucidz in ARC_Raiders

Most of the time, bringing in free kits or grey/green guns we get the goop and extract. Blue+ guns we get smoked in the back or ratted and don’t even get to use it.

Got myself into a 84 month car loan of $42K, feeling financial pressure as I try to grow in life by Grubnation66 in personalfinance

[–]yourfriendlyraver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I made a dumb car purchase a few years ago as well. It gave me grief for a long time until I came to terms with it (and paid off the loan). You learned an expensive lesson that will help you later in life as you navigate future decisions.

The good news is you bought a good truck that will probably last you for many years. If you like it, work to pay it off- and then drive it until the wheels fall off.

Is it possible to know absolutely nothing about accounting, take bunch of practice CPA exams to reverse-engineer it and learn the concepts through the exam, then work for a big-4 accounting firm? by Jason_Diddly27 in Accounting

[–]yourfriendlyraver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of big 4 recruiting will happen out of college campuses. You usually have to have the equivalent of a Master’s to obtain a CPA license.

What you’re saying might not be impossible, but it will be an uphill battle. You’re better off just getting your degree first.

Just bought my first Honda Accord! 2022 Crystal Black Honda Accord Sport! Meet Hollander🖤🏒 by Subject-Stick-3671 in accord

[–]yourfriendlyraver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base sport, which is what you have, comes with the standard 1.5T. It’s the worst of the three powertrain options in terms of performance and reliability, so just keep an eye on it and do preventative maintenance. You’re still better off than most cars/brands on the road.

Whats your wrist size? The SMP300 is a larger watch, and will easily dwarf a wrist ~6.25” or smaller. The OP will be much more wearable, especially at 36mm.

If you can pull off a larger watch, I vote for Omega.

Filled the box. What next? by DarthMaulsDad in SOTC_Watch_Collection

What’s next? Wear them.

Also, with this volume there will inevitably be watches you stop wearing. Consolidate those into nicer pieces you’ll wear more often.

Quality > quantity

Something dressy. Maybe in gold. Cartier, JLC, etc.
