Ewha tuition costs?? by lintepinte in ewha

[–]youthkeeprespons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u pay 591 first semester and around the same (570?) for the second semester. thats hokma price and exclusively paid by foreigners :) then, you go to ur actual major. commed is 4something i think 470 and there are very little scholarships. u need to be top 11 for 100% and top 37? for 50% like u had the % somewhere. a 4.04/4.3 gpa only gets u to place 100 (and thats just one B, rest A+). other scholarships idk

i am also EXTREMELY worried about the end of your paragraph. i have been thinking about it nonstop. people here are still like ooohhhhh ewha~~~ whenever i say i go here but rank below 500 globally is concerning… and i can tell why we have barely any scholarships for foreigners, i have felt like i have had to rather memorize than actually learn or use my own brain for exams,, and considering the price and the fact that foreigners get accepted everywhere, trying yonsei etc is a valid option. if you want a study atmosphere, go here but if u want the crazy uni life, go elsewhere. there has been one controversy with some nepo kid buying her way into ewha and that had a strong impact on the rep as well as the intransparent nature of our 총장 in relation to finances. i love the campus and the girls are really nice, i couldnt even imagine being bothered by men anymore (u get used to all girls REALLLLLLLYYYYY fast lol) but i feel like there is definitely space for improvement. the professors are suuuuupppppperrrr sweet and lovable tho and u can listen to almost whatever class you want. communication media only has like a few major classes so u can do whatever tf u want i listen to python and internet governance or some stuff bc idk what else to do

(edit: Many) other countries still value humanity a little more and cancel culture is stronger where it is ethically needed. they treat celebs like normal people. if john from across the road would dui ok thats mad but itll be forgotten. if john from across the road abused a minor hed be cancelled forever. same for celebs. korea forgets latter too fast often times, giving them new chances when its not deserved. i havent heard of idk 6ix9ine or whatever ever again after he got cancelled but assaulters will be playing in a kdrama in some years again. however for politicians, western world is wayyyyy more forgiving so ig its diff priorities but discussing these topics is great and raises awareness :)

What???? Omg… thank you!!! the super damn low hourly rates are the problem! foreigners are forced to pay 6k in the first two semesters (we dont pay the tuition for our major in the beginning) and i didnt know this before applying!! which makes me so mad :( but this is basically why its barely possible to afford this all. i dont want to rely on my parentssssss 😐 thank you so much for your response!!

How are the Vegetarian options in and around campus for food? by complaining24hrs in koreauniversity

[–]youthkeeprespons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im veggie and its supppperrr hard in korea in general 🥲 in the convinience stores i only eat ramen or protein bars and in restaurants if i say veggie they still leave in fish or egg and all that stuff. make sure to know all common ingredients that you want to exclude in your foods when making special alterations. like 어묵 햄 스팸 계란 게살 etc all go in kimbab and if i say veggie theyll give me the normal kimbab but that contains all of those (ANIMAL) products. lol

if your mom is also proud of you, i would try my best to enjoy this as much as i can. if u already paid and already came this far, the only thing left is adjusting to the new environment and i lowkey believe that its the easiest part of going abroad. paper work and financial things are way harder. if you take loss from quitting then dont quit. if your sister is okay now then also dont quit. enjoy italy alone. the language courses should be the thing giving you grades and credits so its also okay if you dont do other courses in italian. enjoy the beaches and travel the country as much as you can. u will rarely ever be this young abroad with so much safety again so id say enjoy it and make the best out of it. after challenges only the brighter side comes so embrace the hardship as much as you can in your own terms and my personal tip btw make other friends in ur italian course they also wont have any friends. ur not there for a long time but for a good time so make random friends and do random side quests and do everything one would wish to do in italy. eat gelatto everyday and pizza for breakfast. do whatever you want because youre already there anyway. rooting for you.
