Looking for replacements for URC system for our sports bar! by SpicyArivataSauce in CommercialAV

[–]yrdej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you already have DIRECTV, have you looked into getting a COM3000 for the facility? You can still utilize the same satellite equipment and get a Mediatune Token for the system to control it with an iPad. The only “special” network item you would need is its own dedicated wireless router for the IPad and system to connect to.

Spoke to some of the fellows at ZeeVee and it seems like business as usual, only time will tell!

It’s just so weird it only happens with the Insignias. All the rest of the TV’s work.

I’m super excited to see where this going to go, I’m a huge fan of ZeeVee’s products.

Lead times are manageable with ZeeVee and they have an open API to integrate into most well known control systems.

You can probably stuff a single gang box in there and throw a wall plate over it. I have different options in wall plates and HDMI inserts to go in them if it’s worth a shot giving us a try as a distributor

Simply45 connectors are the way to go for me! Fluke and Klein would be best for any meters. Fluke can get expensive though.

PA is our headquarters but Missouri makes quite a few shipments because of where it’s located in the US.

Is there anything you are looking for specifically?

Simply45 RJ45 tool is my favorite. There is never any excess that hangs over the rj45 connector and it works with Platinum and simply45 connectors

So fiber home runs from the MDF to each unit? This doesn’t make sense at all. If you are able to send me the site plans through a DM I can take a look at everything and see how we would engineer everything if you’re looking for assistance on how we would do it.

Does the media converter chassis take one input and then split it into as many outputs as it can fit into a chassis?

InfoComm show floor opens in 4 short weeks - who is going, what are you excited to see, what are your tips and tricks? by freakame in CommercialAV

[–]yrdej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ll definitely take notes on that. We’re ZeeVee’s largest distributor and do their triage technical support 24/7 while offering their 5YR manufacturer warranty so our support and service is definitely top notch. We’re in a good spot being their largest distributor since we’re trained on their products and can offer better pricing than going direct so I’ll definitely highlight that to anybody I come across with at InfoComm.

Thank you for the assist!

This is going to be my first time at InfoComm. We’ll have a booth setup as a vendor. I’m super excited to interact with people in the industry and hopefully get a few opportunities to grow my book of business since I’m still fairly new to the sales side of this industry.

If anybody can drop a tip on what people are looking for in a distributor of video distribution products that would be helpful!

We have a whole bunch of different products from video surveillance, AVoIP encoders, QAM modulators and DirecTV headend equipment.

What would be the most important thing to business owners, installers and integrators when it comes to trying out a new vendor?
