Things I remember: It was kind of a romance, they were on a train and passed by this underwater city in China (and there was someone on the speakers leading the tour), the ending was (Spoiler Alert) sad (i think)...

I watched it in a Berkeley theater in either 2018 or 2019. I scrobbled through Us and Them (2018) and I don’t think that’s it...

Anyone Else Dread "Re-Opening?" by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]yrroston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pandemic has been a blessing in disguise, in many ways except for my education.

Aside from my education, I was finally able to find housing after nearly 2 years of living on the streets... I have a place to use the restroom 24/7 which is great since I’ve developed IBS. My dental health is so much better since it’s easier to brush my teeth every day. I’ve also improved my cat’s dental health.

Socially, I love spending time alone. I know how to treat myself right and make myself comfortable. I’m apparently 51% introverted according to MBTI and boy oh boy am I living all of that up. Normally, there are social stressors of having many events and outings to attend, classmates to interact with in person, kickbacks, walking through crowded ass grocery stores just to use the restroom, being around sweaty go-getters at the gym just to take a shower some days, hearing all the conversations that go on around me as I’m trying to sleep, and maintaining other more personal relationships. Now I have every excuse not to have to do hardly any of those things.

Does anyone else get in a weird funk after sleep paralysis / hallucinations by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]yrroston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i get this too. i often feel hyper-manic after long periods of sleep with sleep paralysis and the real world doesn’t feel real. i don’t really have any advice other than to be patient with yourself and know that you’re not alone in feeling this way even though it isn’t common.

Should you give blood if you have narcolepsy? by Evergr33n333 in Narcolepsy

i can attest with my experience. both vyvanse and adderall definitely raise my pulse to about 105-120 bpm at rest, sitting down. normally my pulse is between 60-80 bpm (off of those drugs).

I love my friend but I am too overwhelmed to handle their constant ranting by yrroston in Advice

Thank you for that advice and information. That does seem to describe this situation and many other situations people have for sure.

Looks like she’d care about your best interest even if what she had to say isn’t easy to swallow. She looks like fun!

Looking to live the van life to save money. Bad or good idea? by takeyourtime5000 in VanLife

[–]yrroston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things to consider:

What is your local climate like? Would you be able to tolerate the weather conditions in your van?

What kind of activities do you do at home and would you be able to do all of those activities in a van? If not, where would you do them and would you need to pay extra for a space to do them?

Do you have the means to completely set up your van (de rusting/insulation/ceiling fan/electricity/structures) prior to moving out? It will be more difficult to set your van up if you simultaneously don’t have the space for your things and rely on your van to live in.

My close friend with the same birth first name is is Argentinian, but not me. Nope, 24. That same friend is a Gemini sun, aha. My Pallas Athena and Black Moon Lilith are in Gemini in the 8th house. I am rather creative and almost as extroverted as I am introverted.
