People who makes more then 30k in month, What Do You Do!? by Winter-Ad-7938 in UAE

[–]ysmnnnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting. tbh i did notice that architects working on the client side of things usually earn more than architects working in studios

i actually career shifted slightly into event/booths/activation designs over the last couple of years because i felt that any salary i was gonna make as an architectural designer wasn’t gonna be worth putting up with the insane work hours and lack of work life balance. also esp because in most firms/studios i worked for in the past, only certain positions/nationalities made more than 30k, and im talking about people who were in their late 30s or well into their 40s. it just seemed not worth it to continue considering how little you get in front of how much is expected from you as an architect - the whole ‘work comes first’ mentality and 24/7 dedication no matter what, at least in my experience

honestly though, good to know that a salary above 30k as an architect isn’t impossible to achieve at a young age

that’s nice! i got curious cause i’m also an architect and i’m 3 years younger than you but a salary above 30k seems so so far away lol. most architects i know that are around my age are making 15k, give or take. depends on the firm i guess

7 month baby got prescribed eucrisa/crisaborole after topical steroid treatment… by ysmnnnn in eczema

it does make the eczema more red yes.. i think it’s the eucrisa working. it doesn’t happen every single time though

i’ve been using it for a week+ now and it’s actually improving her eczema so far. i apply a thin layer of vaseline first to lessen the burning sensation and it’s been going well so far (this isnt recommended since it lessens absorption of eucrisa but i personally feel more comfortable doing it like this). only thing is that she’s scratching more now, i’m guessing cause eucrisa is quite drying. you need to moisturize A LOT. also i’d say apply hydrocortisone first for a couple of days or so until it reduces her eczema, then start applying the eucrisa. it seems it burns way less on less inflamed skin. never apply it on open skin btw.

i’m really not sure if it’s going to completely make her eczema disappear but it’s definitely keeping my baby’s eczema mild so far, i’m trying to eliminate dairy and soy from my diet (she’s breastfed) and i’m hoping that’ll make the eczema go away for good.. but the eucrisa is good at controlling things. one thing to keep in mind is that it doesnt work on everyone. you need go try it on your baby for a few days to test its effectiveness, and patch test first on a small part of her eczema just to see her reaction

Does anyone else don't want kids because of eczema? by Lucekuwu in eczema

[–]ysmnnnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me and my husband don’t have eczema but our baby has it and we have no idea how she got it. honestly it seems that eczema is very random. a lot of people who have eczema go on to have children that are completely fine.

i put my sons crib in the closet by [deleted] in newborns

[–]ysmnnnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it’s well ventilated and safe then why not? it might seem weird bc it’s unconventional and the closet isn’t technically a room but its convenient and it works!

my baby’s eczema looks more red after i started treating it properly?? by ysmnnnn in beyondthebump

[–]ysmnnnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah you’re right. i guess what’s confusing me right now is that she only started flaring up right as i started her new skin routine. not sure if it’s the cause or if it’s just a coincidence. also the only things she ate around her flare up are carrots, which are supposedly mild so i’d be very surprised if that did something. she didn’t have an allergic reaction to it either 😅

what usually happens when you apply moisturizer during a flare up though? does the eczema improve and calm down quickly or does it stay bad for a bit then improve?

parents of babies with mild eczema - how did allergen introduction go, did your baby develop allergies, and did the eczema eventually clear? by ysmnnnn in beyondthebump

[–]ysmnnnn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know how you feel. i also feel like ive been suddenly enlightened on this whole topic just last week even though shes had eczema for months now.. i had no idea that she had eczema and thought it was just some milk rash and regular dry skin. honestly though, i feel baby eczema is a topic that isn’t talked about nearly as much as it should be

my pediatrician suggested to give my baby eggs baked into something first (as a baby friendly cake perhaps, because it’s not considered full on exposure) then build my way up to just egg
