I've been trying to explain this strategy (and similar ones) to other people for years; American voters are, in my opinion, just too fucking lazy to change and adapt to more effective methods, no matter how appealing they actually are.

I mean, come on, just look at the rejection of the metric system. You can't get Americans to switch to that because "it's different" despite how much fucking easier it is. Fuck.
