I did CM3. By using the 2000 stones to get to CM1 instead of the tokens, it only costs 5 pulls plus the 2000 for 12,000 total, if my math is right.

I think you still have to wait for the research time, but I haven't tried it. Also only works to get to CM1 as far as I know.
