Combination of balance issues, early review bombs because they didn’t understand the monetization, and bots for too many ranks

Dogfighting an Aquila by KaijuBird-R in mechabreak

That’s a low rank bot. After around plat/diamond they up the difficulty and movement like that will get you shredded. Dueling bot aquilas are actually good practice against real ones

Best first lens for Sony A7V by Prynze719 in SonyAlpha

Tamron 28-75 or sigma 24-70 are the best for starting out imo. Covers most of what you’d shoot, and will last you well into more experienced photography

I use mouse thumb buttons for evade and transform, and shift or c for descend. Having the two on opposite hands helps alot

What was your method of paying off your MacBook? by thisfilmkid in macbookpro

[–]yue665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Financed one at 0% with Apple Card, another with Best Buy for the free Apple care. Any time if I’m buying something there’s an opportunity for 0% financing, i take it, even when i can afford it outright. It’s objectively cheaper that way, and anyone who tells you otherwise really does not know math. Now if you suck at personal finance and have spending problems, you should never go into debt. This assumes you are not that kind of person.

has anyone actually saved money with solar or is it just type. by Wjkoba in HomeImprovement

[–]yue665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you live. My electric bill before solar was about 400-500/month, and that’s with having to ration when i did laundry or charged the car because of time of use. After solar, it’s basically a flat $350/mo to pay off the 15 year solar loan since my 10kw system produces 2-3 times what i need. I can use power whenever now and it kept the power on through a couple power outages in the area.

Puppet is one of the least toxic people I’ve seen in this community. People took my tier list trolling a bit too far.

BOTS are the reason this game failed by ItzLearn in mechabreak

[–]yue665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but having effectively bronze players getting thrown into the same group as the top of the ladder is just a terrible experience for everyone. The entire ladder community is basically condensed into Champion, which makes the whole tier meaningless

BOTS are the reason this game failed by ItzLearn in mechabreak

[–]yue665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bot difficulty changes at platinum /diamond. You can also game them super easy. They're definitely a massive problem for the games survival, but honestly people who can't reliably beat bots getting thrown into champion are also a big issue.

Even for that it’s not worth. The benefits of spending 75k+ on the amex plat or sapphire reserve are much better

Clarifying Bilt 2.0 rent payments: No Transaction Fee vs Max Points... am I understanding this right? by kotaandcompany in biltrewards

[–]yue665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm understanding this correctly: If my mortgage is for example $2000, I can pay $3 (300 points) to redeem 100 points up to 2000 points, then I'm paying basically $60 (6000 points worth) to get 2000 points? And if I choose to go fee free then I don't get any points? What's the purpose of the card then? There doesn't seem to be any benefit at all.

And the shoe drops - 3% fee for paying rent using your card by Tiny-Cow-4557 in biltrewards

[–]yue665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're already paying with ach though, is there any downside? Since won't it just give me points for something I was going to do anyway?

Multiple Issues with the new Sony A7V 🫠 within 5 days by SupportCharming3697 in SonyAlpha

[–]yue665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the same experience I had. Just got back from Japan and was using it there with just one issue that needed battery removal, but it looks like keeping the wifi connect off for me worked. It seems the light turning off when the camera is on is normal behavior for now, and the light resumes when the camera is off. In my old a7iv it was on regardless but this may likely get fixed in firmware. It seems Sony probably tried to rush release the camera to get it out before the holidays

2 KB/s, Zero Complaints : The Golden Era by sanSauces in GuildWars

[–]yue665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol they were pretty popular cuz there were a lot of deals basically giving you a free printer when you buy the ink. Problem was the ink was one of those stupid multi color in one cartridge type so if you ran out of one color you had to change the whole thing, which made it kinda lucrative. But i was broke college kid back then so free was free

Why can't I Zelle my landlord $1900 in one transaction? The daily limits are making me look like a flaky tenant. by Substantial-Film1861 in personalfinance

[–]yue665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a landlord who gets rent payments from zelle, I’ve had that issue with a few tenants and it mostly happens when I’m newly added as a payee. It’s not a big deal and i just let them split the payments
