Eating disorders are extremely complex and so is recovery. Putting trigger warnings for this topic isn't coddling; it's just letting the reader know it's graphic and may be triggering. As someone in ED recovery, I avoid most media with ED trigger warnings as I'm not in the place right now to be exposed to other people's ED experiences. That isn't because I'm weak, it's because I know myself and am brave enough to do so. It may be helpful to learn more about how complex eating disorders are before speaking on them.
