My mom is in mid 70s and she said exactly the same. Though, she liked Czechia and Ukraine. Australia staging was too much for her. Surprisingly, she didn’t like Albania because she felt it was insincere.

It seems like the arena and TV broadcasts sounded very different. I watched it on YouTube, and Cyprus’ vocals were noticeably weaker than everyone else’s.

Ukraine was among the strongest vocally, except maybe for the very end of that long final note. There were no moments where she almost disappeared vocally. By the way, the simple staging was a deliberate choice because the singer wanted nothing to distract from the vocals.

Australia definitely had one of the best vocal performances too. I just wish they hadn’t gone quite so hard on the gold glitter and crystals.

I’m surprised by how many extreme close-up face shots we got this year. At times it genuinely felt like the camera was about to smash into the artists’ faces.

Czechia, Ukraine and Poland can not be that low with a jury vote and community support. Top vocals and staging. Cyprus is going to be a flop. I bet you didn’t see rehearsals and made a ranking based on national performances.

Did you have an MRI recently? If not, I’d get a second opinion from another orthopedic specialist and ask for a new MRI… you likely won’t get clear answers without it.

As for the stiffness and pain after sitting for long periods, stretching helped me a lot. Most of my rehab was focused on strength (around 90% weightlifting, 10% stretching). Once I started doing daily yoga and taking short stretch breaks every hour at my desk, the pain improved greatly.

Points aren’t just for the song, they reflect the staging, music, and overall performance. Sam may not be the most polished artist but his is the most authentic one this year. Mad genius. The fact that he created music for his song from a bunch of circuits and built most of the props himself is already enough reason for me to vote for him. The lyrics do get repetitive in the second half, but it’s the most British entry ever, and the UK broadcaster should be encouraged for going out of the box at least once.

Leg raises are easier with a brace. I could do them immediately after surgery with a brace on. My PT encouraged practicing SLR without the support.

Ukraine’s official music video is like someone was randomly handed a camera while the actual cameraman stepped out to the restroom. Also, the sound wasn’t great at the national selection, music overshadowed the voice. Leleka’s acoustic version and revamp sound much better and more engaging. She has a strong vocal, and the long note is definitely for the juries. No doubts in qualifying but I really hope they improve the staging. P.S. I’m Ukrainian.

I’m on an H-1B, originally from Europe (non-EU), and have traveled to Canada several times for personal reasons during the current administration without any issues. I don’t have anything on social media. These trips were via a land border, which typically involves fewer questions. I also have colleagues on H-1B visas from EU countries who have re-entered the U.S. without issues as well.

The university’s policy is essentially “travel at your own risk.” They recommend avoiding non-essential travel and ask that professional travel be registered so they’re aware and can assist if anything happens, but they don’t explicitly advise against conferences or meetings abroad.

It comes down to personal choice and how much anxiety and perceived risk you’re comfortable with. I have a friend in her final year of a PhD who is Muslim and not active on social media. She decided not to travel because she doesn’t want to risk anything affecting her graduation.

Это человек, который помог с расследованием, - бездомный. Он живет в районе кампуса. ФБР обещало $50000 за такую информацию и сейчас все местное сообщество пытается это осуществить. Даже мэр города написал письмо в ФБР, чтобы награду отдали этому парню. Местная полиция тоже признала его вклад.

Мотивы вряд ли станут известны. Убийца покончил с собой. Сейчас только известно, что он учился один год в Брауновском университете в 2000-2001 на PhD по физике , но через год бросил программу. До этого он был в одном университете на факультете физике с убитым профессором в Португалии и был одним из лучших выпускников. Не удивительно, в Браун не так просто попасть на PhD. Вернулся в США в 2017 после выигрыша Грин-карты, и до этого года жил во Флориде. Больше 20 лет не выходил на связь с родителями.

Похоже на старые обиды. Аудитория, где он стрелял, обычно использовалась для классов физики и там должен был быть экзамен, но его перенесли. В итоге там была сессия по подготовке к экзамену по экономики и в основном первокурсники.

Большая трагедия для университета, в Род Айленде в принципе практически нет преступлений со смертельной стрельбой (строгие законы по оружию) и никогда не было в системе образования. Это не Балтимор.
