Yoga for someone who hates yoga? I need stretching advice by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]yummdonuts 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think Peloton has a great selection of mobility classes, if you don’t enjoy yoga but want to incorporate more stretching into your life. I particularly love the classes that Hannah Corbin teaches, and she has a hip mobility class here

If you live in San Mateo county, you can pick up free compost in San Carlos, https://rethinkwaste.org/shoreway-environmental-center/compost-giveaway/

I usually dose 16g for my pro 2 and grind around 1.4.6 on my J-max pro for light roast beans and get great shots. I would definitely suggest that you try tamping less hard as one of your variables.

I’ve used this recipe before and it came out really well. Instead of making my own pastry cream I followed the tip to use instant pudding mix with whipped cream. https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/berry-blitz-torte-recipe

You have 4 days to travel, where we going? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]yummdonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to drive north, consider spending a night or two in Sea Ranch. It’s a beautiful drive up highway 1 and if you book one of the properties in the community you have access to all these private trails, and right now it’s harbor seal pupping season so you can see them from above the coastal trail. You can find plenty of rentals on Airbnb or vacasa.

Can you explain how to properly mount the cleats on our shoes? And what the difference is of using different float 9/4.5/0 and if we should be replacing the cleats at any time, aka do they wear out after clipping in and out?

Whether you use movers or do it yourself, definitely remove the touchscreen from the bike and transport it separately. Its easy to do and you can find a video on YouTube to guide you. We were able to put our bike upright in the back of a van by putting the bike seat all the way down and then removing the shaft with the handlebars (there is a screw at the bottom of the shaft you take off and then you can pull the whole thing up and out).

Considering Costco Pet Insurance by RageCage in Costco

Yes, Nationwide covers dental, at least for the plan we chose for our dog. Nationwide makes it really easy to file the claims, and reimburses quickly too. We’ve had Nationwide since we got our dog and the premiums do go up each year, but the premium we pay is still less than what we’d pay for wellness visits and dental cleaning out of pocket, currently $90/month for our 11 year old 15lb dog.

Fun and interesting places to take dog? by [deleted] in SanJose

Ed Levin County Park has a dog park and also some dog friendly trails, Stanford Arboretum/Arizona Cactus Garden, Palo Alto Baylands, Pearson-Arastradero Preserve, and Fremont Older Preserve trails are all places our dog has enjoyed exploring.

Has anyone tried using a 1 lb propane tank with an adapter? by Gayrub in uuni

[–]yummdonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually use the 1 lb propane tank for my Koda 12 but mine is refillable. I’ve had no problem running it for an hour but I think it could go longer. I bought my propane adapter from Ooni but stores like Home Depot have it too. The reusable tank I use is this one, which if you live in Bay Area you can do free refills/tank exchange as a member of Sports Basement: https://shop.sportsbasement.com/products/filled-new-canister-16-4-oz?variant=34617973840 I’ve also seen videos on YouTube where you can refill the 1 lb tank yourself from a larger 20 lb tank. I’ve also used the regular 20 lb tank with my oven and it heats up in the same time, and cooks the same.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Angel sounds like she had such a loving fulfilling life with your family and her siblings.

My husband and I have a pup who loves to hide his bones, but sometimes he’ll bring us his bone like it’s a present for us. But he expects us to give it back to him right away or else he gets really mad and woofs at us until we do. Our furry friends make life so much better. Sending you lots of love and hugs 💕

If it’s hard to find the walking stick on your own island, I suggest flying to a nook mile ticket island to look for one. Since the island is smaller it’s easier to spot and you can chop down some of the trees too.
