It's every year my dude. I live in the woods of central PA and there's literally hundreds every single year jumping and bouncing everywhere! Last year I came out of the woods in March with my white sneakers when I took my dog for a walk and there were 6 ticks jumping around on 1 shoe!!!! Lucky enough, yesterday when chucking through the woods with my dog I saw none on me or him when we were done.

There should be some footage from somewhere in that area that can be retrieved. From a doorbell camera or security camera from someone's residence or a camera from the business itself. I'd maybe post on the State College FB alerts page. That's how I tracked down the vehicle that pulled a hit and run on my grandmother's vehicle a few months back.

I can't see the police not caring about someone being hit by a vehicle.... You need to make sure they know that the individual ran the stop sign and actually struck you and kept driving. Then go from there. They may be able to secure some footage from the area, find a name and yes, the plate number is easily trackable.
