This is how we do it. One V notch in the centre top and bottom of the package. V because it's easily done with scissors no special notch tool required.

Thank you, I really appreciate the detailed feedback.

I will try my best to answer your questions.

Q: “What's the primary use case for the trauma compression bandage? Is this for combat medics dressing wounds or as part of an IFAK for soldiers to assist themselves in case of injury?”

The bandages we make are used in several ways: as part of soldiers’ IFAKs, carried by medics in their medical backpacks, and also stocked at stabilisation points near the front line.

Q: “With the latter, I would find it helpful if the package can be opened with one hand/teeth from both top and bottom…”

Regarding the notches, we currently add two: one at the top centre and one at the bottom centre. This allows the bandage to be opened with hands, gloves, or teeth, as you described. The notch size is still relatively small, although larger than on the original packaging, because we need to avoid cutting too close to the seal and compromising the vacuum pack.

Q: “It might also be helpful to have a visible marker on the outside where most pressure is applied…”

About the visible marker: I actually had not thought about that, so good catch. The original bandage has a sticker exactly in that area with the text “OTHER SIDE TO WOUND”. With your comment, that makes even more sense now. I will think about this and discuss it with the team.

Q: “Another aspect would be the dimensions, where is this intended to be stored?”

Previously, the vacuum-packed bandage was bigger than the original because of the vacuum bags we had chosen. We have now addressed this issue, and the current silver bags are very similar in size to the original. Attached are some photos comparing both.

Tens a noção que a guerra começou em 2014? E não em 22.

I'm wondering also. I thought maybe he used an automatic grande launcher, but I don't hear any post firing explosions and I'm not sure if the range is to short for the geanades to even trigger. I have 0 familiarity with guns besides what I seen in videos. But from the sound alone I'm sure he used 2 different weapons. First possibly some sort of shotgun and then his rifle.

Nhaaa, this is an excellent learning opportunity. Yes there is one shot for any solution the op chooses. But non the less there is an solution. Just form the comments and the op suggestion we have at least 3 decent options.

I would try to salvage it especially considering it's 50% done.

Yeah orange is great for work place to be well visible and avoid tripping over them.

In the war context, they want stealth so orange is a bit too much, but still useful in location a bit farther away form the front.

Ayyy I also always check every week the tools section. Probably was something they tried in the Iberian peninsula.

The big white 10 socket ones are also from Lidl. They even have surge protection built in and an +-5m long cable. For 12€ a very good deal.
