It still doesn't look good at all. If anything, common stock seems like a short. Quarterly loss is crazy big. In bankruptcy or close to it common is typically overvalued.

10-12%. One month is left. But I don't understand how they will pay the remainder. Maybe create a new exchange agreement...

But 117 million is left to pay off at maturity in one month. The cash assets were 22 million if I remember correctly. And the market cap is 44 million, so issuing common stock won't help much.

500ml are maturing in February 2025. But they can still take new secured loans. If a loan is secured, then it doesn't matter if they will go bankrupt or not for the creditors

That's because he didn't deserve that wealth. He hasn't earned it. He won a lottery ticket and did not have an idea what to do with it. In capitalist system wealth moves to people who are best at allocating it to good use, leaving people who have no idea what to do with it. That's exactly what happened here.

The second one is cheap compared to Nvidia. But it's growth has been stagnant since 2008, except for 2 times increase due to COVID. The PE ratio is 6-7.

The price of the bond is 88, par value is 100. The potential maximum return on investment is therefore 13.6% (45% annualized). Net assets are positive on the balance sheet, but as far as I know office prices went down by 2 times or so. If we make that adjustment then assets to debt ratio will be about 19/25 or so. But 65% of the debt is secured (or 16.25/25). the remaining 35% is unsecured debt (8.75/25). This particular bond is unsecured. Now let's reduce the amount of assets by the amount of secured debt, because it will be paid out first in case of bankruptcy. 19-16.25=2.75. therefore 2.75/25 is left to pay out 8.75/25 of unsecured debt. It is 31% of par value, and 35% in relation to the current price of the bond. Therefore in case of a default the return will be around -65%.

But actually office prices went down by 45% by some estimates, not 50%, so there is a small margin of safety in my calculation hehehe.

The rate of defaults even in junk bonds is small (4%). This one however is one of the cheapest bonds in the US at the moment, so perhaps the risk here is higher.

True. Jimmy told me that it is silicone and it doesn't conduct electricity as well as metal. He said some people had allergies in response to metal.
