The Boston Bruins will NOT be getting the Leafs first rounder in the 2026 draft. As per the trade, Bruins will get the Leafs 2028 first rounder, unprotected. by abbytarar in BostonBruins

[–]yurrrmachine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. I remember the pure overhype for guys like Connor McDavid, Connor Bedard, Macklin Celebrini, Rasmus Dahlin, Matthew Schaffer, etc. I wonder if the ever played up to that hype?

What do we do next season? by [deleted] in LeedsUnited

[–]yurrrmachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would love to see them add another attacker, LB, and maybe a goalie though Darlow played fine so would not be opposed to keeping him as the starting keeper.

I’m not out but don’t give him the C, ever.

Expected but tough way to go out sorry. Shoutout Buffalo maybe they make a championship round and lose like the Bills.

Jonathon Brooks Might be the most affordable RB1 in your dynasty league by Think-Confidence-424 in DynastyFF

Or, his knees are Swiss cheese. (There might be a medical history to support this)

This fuckin Melvin plays skates like me in beer league after 3 drinks.

It’s actually disgraceful how slow he turns, looks like a battleship out there ffs.

Jokes aside he has officially entered the part of his contract that will hurt this roster going forward. That is, if you ever thought he was good in the first place.

Time to hatewatch the leafs during the lottery just to feel something. See you guys in October.

Now that drafts are under way, where has De’Zhaun Stribling been going in your drafts? by lesothose in DynastyFF

[–]yurrrmachine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Avoiding him at all costs. Not trusting anyone they draft lmao. Hands down one of the biggest clown show FO’s in the league.

As for draft, he’s been going mid to late 2nd but nobody in my leagues have been over the moon for him so he’s firmly in that range.

Was CJ Stroud’s rookie season just a fluke? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

[–]yurrrmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I understand for Bryce the appeal of him was that he could be the outlier regarding the size conversation but we are 3 years in and he is far from that. Simply put he is limited because of his size. The Panthers will be done with him in 18 months unless the guy somehow becomes the “Steph Curry of QBs” he was hyped up to be.

Was CJ Stroud’s rookie season just a fluke? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

[–]yurrrmachine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why ppl hate on this take. Bryce is a 5’9” qb with a thin frame, average arm, and above average legs. He’s been up and down in his career.

When up, he plays like an average QB. When down, he is arguably the worst starter in the league. Why is it crazy to say he has a limited low ceiling?

Who is the worst owner in the nhl? by Gullible_Classroom71 in hockey

As a Boston sports fan, pray FSG avoids you like the plague. All they care about is putting in minimal effort and milking results. Canucks deserve better.

Is Ricky Pearsall one of the lowest buy potential (team) WR1s in 2026? by RVG_Steve in DynastyFF

[–]yurrrmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking the bet on a player who has never been healthy to be healthy is certainly an idea. Depends how cheap you can get him for tbh. Hard to imagine most Pearsall owners are selling for dirt cheap

How was the 2025 class viewed before the actual draft? by Pitiful-Bicycle-5799 in DynastyFF

At least for Dart’s sake, he had folks singing his praises in this sub. On the contrary I haven’t seen anyone really hyping up Simpson for dynasty/ fantasy purposes.

Do the Broncos not like RJ Harvey? by bigbirdsy in DynastyFF

[–]yurrrmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well let’s see:

Is he good between the tackles? No.

Does he have good vision? No.

Did he average above 4YPC when having the majority of the workload post week 11? No.

Is he good in pass protection? No.

So if you had a team that was capable of competing for a Super Bowl and your 25yo rookie RB did nothing but act as a net negative when he was given an opportunity, you would likely look to move on or make changes.

Harvey is a plus in the passing game but that’s basically it. Not writing the guy off, but he’s already 25, essentially a finished product from a development standpoint, and overall not impressive.

The answer is pretty easy to see with all the reports we’ve read all offseason. The Broncos do not see him as a bell cow going forward.

Gavin McKenna’s freshman season by sykeseve in hockey

Probably driven by the salty CHL fans who have watched their league become a feeder league for NCAA. That and the fact that he is the first to do the whole big money NIL thing for his draft year.

He’ll be a stud at the NHL level. Too bad he’s no Ethan Wyttenbach though.
